This is your opportunity to buy an exceptionally clean, adult owned, meticulously pampered second year Porsche 944 Turbo with low miles, all maintenance records and up-to-date service. If you are looking for a cheap project car needing a ton of work then this is not the car for you. This car is turn-key, owned by a non-smoking enthusiast and needs nothing. This car is well sorted and its history is fully documented and accounted for right down to the Porsche dealer stamps inside the original warranty book. This is an incredibly fast, reliable, and balanced car that turns heads wherever it goes. The clutch is like butter, the shifting tight and precise, like that of a new car. The steering is exact with excellent feedback and the boost consistent and intoxicating. The timing belt, water pump, clutch and AC compressor have all been replaced within the last 5k miles and I have the written invoice from the repair shop to prove it. I am the third owner. This car has a clean title, not salvaged or rebuilt. It has never been raced, tracked, driven hard or used in even remotely wet conditions. You won’t find a cleaner one. A new baby + no extra time means I don’t have the time or energy to drive it anymore and it is time to let it go to someone who will use it. The car has 86k original documented miles and is finished in black with black full leather seats (rare) and a black full leather interior (even more rare) It is in excellent condition inside and out with some normal wear as expected from a 23 year old car (i.e. rock chips). It is covered and garaged full time. The condition of the paint and interior reflect this. The car was delivered brand new on 29th October 1987 at Hoehn Motors in Carlsbad California. Shortly after purchase the car was transported via enclosed trailer with the original owner when he moved to North Carolina for business. In the summer of 1991 the original owner returned back to Carlsbad and brought the car back with him. I purchased it from the original owner in the spring of 2002. I had a well regarded specialist 944 mechanic do a full inspection on it and it passed with flying colors. I have owned the car for over 8 years and put less than 11k fully documented miles on it. It is regularly and conservatively driven, but never in bad weather or in even remotely rainy conditions and has been garaged its entire life. I hand wash, polish and wax the car on a regular basis and also treat the interior with Lexol products on a scheduled monthly basis. I have all of the maintenance records and receipts for the car in a folder that is inches thick. A CLEAN AutoCheck vehicle history report showing all pertinent events, confirmed mileage and no accidents is available upon request. The car easily passed California smog with low emissions and without any of the issues that plague many of the heavily modified or abused cars. This car has the rare FULL black leather interior including stitched leather door panels and console (nice upgrade from stock plastic pieces). The seats are original and show no wear, even on the bolsters. The cigarette lighter has never been used and the ashtray is clean. The AC has been converted to the modern R134A and was recharged at 86k miles with a new compressor installed as well. Power windows, power seats, power mirrors and power removable sunroof all work perfectly as does everything else on the car including the digital clock and cruise control which is atypical of 944’s. Other features include dual front air bags, power steering, power windows, power seats, 4 piston Brembo brake calipers and lightweight Porsche 993 Cup II alloy wheels. I have done a few tasteful and conservative upgrades including: @ 76k miles: New Blaupunkt CD player, Kenwood rear speakers. Original front speaker grilles are on the car. @ 86k miles: New Infiniti Front speakers. @ 79k miles: New Lloyds brand plush carpeted and embroidered floormats @ 79k. @ 80k miles: New stainless steel wastegate, boost enhancer, 993TT compressor bypass valve,VDO boost/vacuum gauge in DIN panel and performance chip (adding a *very* conservative +2 psi). Original chips and DIN pocket included. @ 83k miles: New SFR stainless steel catback exhaust system with Borla XR1 muffler. Original factory catback exhaust included. @ 85k miles: New Z rated Yokohama performance tires on lightweight 17 inch factory Porsche 993 Cup II 5-spoke wheels with hand painted metal crest center caps. @86k miles: Light tinted all windows. Other than the modifications listed here the car is all stock. Porsche made significant improvements to the 944 turbo in the 1987 model year effectively rendering this year and those after it more desirable than the original release year of 1986.
