Vehicle Detail

No Reserve auction. Last bidder wins. Very nice original paint 62 Impala station wagon. I am the third owner. I had originally bought this wagon to do a full air ride slammed on 20” wheels look but honestly I think it’s a little too nice and original to tamper with so I located another wagon to do that to instead. Starting with the exterior, this is the original 2 tone green colors, with the pastel green top and laurel metallic green lower which is pretty unusual for a wagon. As you can see, this car is hiding nothing. The floors are very solid with very minor rust spots as for the trunk pan it is completely rock solid. There is only one rust hole on the outside of the car. It’s where the back bumper wraps around the quarter and that’s it. See the last pic. This hood is in excellent rust free shape, as most usually rust behind the lip. Not this one. I have owned several original paint 60’s cars and this one probably is the nicest with minor patina on the passenger side and tailgate. There is one small dent on the roof where a piece of a branch fell. Being in this condition you can tell this is a “what you see is what you get” type of vehicle. Feel confident bidding on a true ‘Impala’ wagon in nice unrestored condition. The Impala wagon only rear tail panel is in decent shape with only a couple minor dings. The grille is in excellent condition, even the bumpers are nice and straight. I will also include an original front grille guard with the car. As for the inside of the car, all original interior, some normal wear on the driver's seat but fair for its age overall. Door panels a little dried out at the bottoms. Everything works, interior dome lights come right on, gauges all work. Power rear tailgate glass moves up and down with the flick of the switch. AM radio still works but speaker is dead. (I also have some extra parts that I could offer the winning bidder for an additional fee such as, 9 passenger seat, correct full 62 factory AC set, full set of wagon power windows with harness and switches) These could be purchased separately if the new owner wants to add them. Drive train: Original 283 engine and power glide transmission were both rebuilt in 2001. Other than the air cleaner and valve covers, its still all stock and fires right up with no hesitation. This car sits and idles quietly. Brand new radial tires with correct width whitewalls. The original station wagon / 409 deep offset rims, new battery. I like to drive the car into town and do errands every now and then and that’s about it. I’m confident you could drive this car home anywhere. Would be excellent as an unrestored daily driver left as is or a super easy restoration. I can assist in shipping at buyers expense. Shipping to the west coast is roughly around $700. If you are local I can possibly deliver. Clear title. Car is located near the Dallas Ft Worth area and if interested can be viewed by appointment. If you have any questions feel free to call me. 940-902-1057. Please do not bid unless you are serious and have the funds to buy this car. I have this car listed locally so I have the right to end the auction early if need be. Winning bidder must pay $500 the first 48 hours after auction has ended via paypal with 5 days to pay the remaining balance.
