Vehicle Detail
Selling a rare 1963 Plymouth Fury 2 door hardtop factory 383 Golden Commando 4 speed car with 3.23 sure grip. I found this car in Bakersfield, CA. sitting behind a farmhouse. It had been parked in 1991 and still has the original black CA plates. Car still wears its original factory paint but is a little thin on the tops of the fenders and roof as the hot sun has baked off some of the original paint over the last 20 years. The brown you see is the factory primer. Very dry, solid car with just a little rust on drivers side lower quarter panel behind the wheelwell. Trunk is all original as is under the hood. Car still has its original 63 T 383 HP motor and one year only Borg Warner T-10 4 speed transmission with correct Hurst shifter handle. This Fury is interesting as it has almost no options. No dashpad, no seat belts, no side view mirrors, no lower rocker mouldings and it has the Savoy steering wheel and manual steering and brakes. It has 3 options.... a radio, heater and 3.23 sure-grip. This is a running and driving car and guages, heater, wipers, and lights work. All glass and exterior chrome is good and the car is real straight. It still has factory dual exhaust but it will need some interior work as you can see. The original red door panels were removed for some reason years ago and lost so I am including a set of 63 Belvedere 2 door hardtop panels so you have cores to get them redone. Also a pair of 4 door 63 Fury door panels so you have the Fury emblems that go on the door panels when restoring them. Overall a very rare survivor as there were not many 63 4 speed cars made. Previous owner lost the title but I have all the paperwork to get a new title from the state of CA. if so desired. Any questions, 619 929 8806.On Aug-05-10 at 18:34:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Just found out I will be leaving Tuesday 8/10 to attend the Mopar Nationals in Columbus, Ohio so winning bidder can have the car picked up any time after I return from the show around the 18th of August as I am driving from Seattle, WA. I stated payment within 7 days end of auction but I will be gone that week so I would prefer a bank wire transfer of funds within 3 days end of auction. Thank you.On Aug-06-10 at 14:48:10 PDT, seller added the following information: I have recieved numerous emails regarding the lost title and I am in the process of obtaining a new California title which I should recieve within the next 14 days. This will allow any out of state/country bidders to license and title the car. Unfortunately, per CA DMV, the car cannot be registered ever again in the state of California.
