This is a factory SS 396 4 speed. It is the 350 HP 396 version,5500 red line.Has 12 bolt rear diff. with multi- leaf springs. I purchased the car from a friend. He had the car for about five years. Prior to that it had been sitting in a private garage. The car had been off the road since about 1988. When I purchased it,I cleaned it up a little. As far as I have been able to tell it has not been beat up to bad for how old it is. It has been repainted once, and the rear pass. quarter has been replaced. You can see where the bondo is cracked on the seam. It has power front discs, tic-toc tach, with clock, console and guages,(which all work perfectly), standard interior, (all in pretty good cond.) ,Ralley wheels with BFG tires, Paint shined up pretty good. Overall this is a great find, the car runs and drives with no issues. There is some chroming that was done under the hood,hinges,hood latch,radiator supports, and a few other things, indications of a 1980s build. The car came from California, there were some blue plates in the trunk. This car will be sold , so bid to win! On Aug-06-10 at 09:11:37 PDT, seller added the following information: I have recieved many inquiries about the drivetrain, It is as follows: Non # mathching block. Not sure about the trans. The engine code does show that it is a 1968 engine. I have driven the car around for about a month and have not had any problems. it does not burn or use any oil. Trans shifts perfectly. Brakes work very good. Tires are fair, good tread but kinda old, probly purchased in the late eighties. All glass is in very good condition. I have a buy it now price of $23,000.00. This car can be driven anywhere.
