Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a great bike. This bike has been my dad's bike for the past 3 years and could still be a daily driver. He upgraded to a new bike and asked me to try and sell this one. The bike is a 1980 Honda CB 900 custom. When it was brand new, it was the top cruiser offered by Honda. It starts right up with a new battery and drives and shifts smooth. The tires aren't too bad. The bike does have a small oil leak (a few drops if it sits for a few weeks). It does smoke a little bit when first started, but then clears out after it warms up. The bike is clean throughout with no dents. Some of the chrome has some wear and tear, but the bike is 30 years old and is in great shape. The bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early. There is no reserve on the bike. Here is a link to a video of the actual bike running and driving that was taken this week. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bf9j71EAeOg The drops under the bike are from cleaning solvent used to clean the bike for the pictures, it is not leaking oil. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll answer as best as possible. Good luck bidding. $500 deposit required within 48 hours of auction end on paypal and the rest must be cash in person or through paypal before pickup. If you would like to see the bike before the end of the auction, it can be arranged. forgot to mention, the bike comes with a sissy bar (backrest for the passenger)/luggage rack combo. I don't have a picture of it, but it came off the bike because my dad liked the look of the bike without it better. I've seen them going here on e-bay for over $100. I don't have any use for it, so it'll be coming with the bike. I just want to add that I checked the official mileage today and I made a mistake on the initial listing. The true mileage is 42000+ miles. Also I forgot to mention that the bike has a dual transmission (10 speed). This means that the bike has a set of high and low speed (5spds each).
