Vehicle Detail
Our 1985 Mercedes Benz 300D Turbo Diesel Sedan has been excellently maintained throughout with frequent synthetic oil changes. It runs beautifully, the Air Conditioning is working great, has an engine heater block and the Toyo Spectrum 90S tires were put on in 02 and have driven 17K miles since then. Have full maintenance records, manual and multiple keys. Exterior: The exterior is Blue with no dents, the paint is oxidized and there is the usual wheel well/fender rust spots on the drivers side back wheel that all of these cars are prone to as they age. It is a great looking Classic! Interior: The dark blue original MB Tex seats show virtually no wear and the original factory zebrano wood trim and carpet are in excellent condition. The dash looks great and has an undetectable overlay especially made for these cars as they developed cracks in the vinyl from the sun. There is a small crack in the clear plastic over the dial area. Original Becker Stereo. Included are the owners manual, two keys, the original first aid kit, with the spare, jack and tools in place as well. Everything works like a charm except for the vacuum locks, the original stereo does turns down to silent but does not turn off and the clock is not running. The trunk liner, well and tools are dirty from a previous leak in the trunk gasket. Is this car perfect, no, but if you have been looking for a very well cared for 1985 300D this is it right car down to the original Becker stereo. A/C, Cruise Control, Power Steering, Bucket Seats, Mercedez-Benz Tex Interior, Fog Lights, Cassette Radio, Premium Sound, Power Windows, Rear Window Defroster, Alloy Wheels, Sunroof/Moonroof etc. If you have never driven one of these turbo diesel be aware that they are slow in "off the line" speed but one they move out of a stand still they book. We are the second owner, purchasing the car from the dealership 12 years ago after the original owner traded the car for a newer model. The car has been an ease to own. A true classic in all the best ways. Local purchasers can take a look at the car, please contact us via email. NOTE: The report says there is a major title issue, There is not. Upon Purchasing: Buyer must deposit $150 through paypal upon winning of auction. Please contact us within 24 hours. Pickup and full payment within three days of the Auction's close.
