I don't know what's wrong with it and don't have any more time or money to fix it. The truck will need to be towed. The truck is a 1988 Ford F-350 with a 7.3l idi International diesel engine and a 5 speed ZF trans. Its got a 7.5'x11' steel flatbed with a flip up gooseneck hitch and a 2" receiver hitch. Its got 189,000 miles, which is nothing for these engines since they last upwards of 300k-500k miles. These motors are mechanical injection and much less expensive to maintain. They also run off of 'alternative' fuels such as veg. oil and used motor oil. Things I've done - -New Injection pump -New water pump -New Ford Motorcraft Glow Plugs -New starter -2 New 1000ca batteries in 2008 -Electric fuel pump -New fuel lines from tank to fuel filter -Replaced 3 tires - all have plenty of tread -New 50 gallon diesel fuel tank from a military 5 ton truck. It needs either to be timed or a set of injectors because it smokes going down the road. The truck was in great running shape with lots of power until it died on me last week. It's getting fuel to the IP but not to the injectors so it's probably the shutoff solenoid. I drove it on a 250 mile trip up from Mobile, AL last winter. I have the title in hand.
