Vehicle Detail

1984 Mercedes 380 SL Convertible 2 door, 2 seater - hard top and soft top NO RESERVE .. owner says SELL Here is a car that needs some TLC to the interior, and the engine needs what the owner believes is a timing belt. I have sold 6 of these same cars in the past 3 years, and this is by far the most solid of those cars I have offered. The car is not running right now, and will need hauled or towed away - or shipped is fine too. The motor will turn over, it does not start or run right now and will need work to get there. There is some glass damage to the rear window. There is air conditioner, not able to say if it works. The hard top is on the car, the soft top has not been inspected and we can not state the condition of it. There are tinted windows that were put on either some time ago, and just need removed or replaced or were done by a 'rookie'. You will find a few 'dings' on the passenger door area and just a few other blemishes on the exterior. The interior shows some wear, but looks satisfactory and with a good detailing would make a big difference. The tires are 60% worn, have been on this car some time. I will say to make this the most road ready and safe, you will want to replace those. The headliner has a tear in it. There is a Kenwood Cassette player in this car. The trunk area is fine, some light surface rust only, and that is near where the seat touches the trunk. The dash clock does not work, we believe all gauges will work fine knowing the reputation of Mercedes, but that can not be guaranteed. There was a dash carpet in place, however there are some cracks on the dash under this carpet. Questions, please ask. I don't have a lot more info - I post all that I have, and hope the pictures do the rest to answer your questions. With a little bit of work, this should be a fine automobile with a small investment to get it back on the road. These cars sell from $6000+ running, again this is a no reserve listing. Vicki
