POLICE AUCTION: Black Ford Ranger XLT, 228,806 miles, 5-speed manual transmission, VIN 1FTCR10X5SUC32045. This vehicle was seized by our department (Church Hill, TN Police Department) on July 24, 2008 because the driver was arrested for DUI (3rd offense). It has been sitting in our impound lot ever since. There was a lien on the vehicle, however lien holder did not appear to claim an interest in the vehicle. Vehicle was subsequently awarded to us by the Tennessee Department of Safety on 11-10-2009. Our department now has a clear title to the vehicle. Our policy mandates that all seized vehicles be sold at public auction. NOTICE: We do not inspect or test drive seized vehicle so we cannot attest to how good or bad our seized vehicles are. This is a seized and used vehicle; there is no warranty. Vehicle starts and will run from point A to point B. When running, there is a squeeking/pecking sound. This could be belt noise, motor noise, or some other type of noise; we do not know. The oil pressure gauge shows no pressure; we do not know if the gauge is torn up or if there is actually no oil pressure. Vehicle has extensive front end damage; see photograph. Aftermarket CD player installed. Air conditioner does not blow cold air. I would not recommend driving vehicle very far until the oil pressure issue is determined. NOTE/RESTRICTED AUCTION/PLEASE READ: Due to past bidders who failed to show up and pay, we have been forced to limit bidders on this item to bidders with a feedback score of 5 or higher. Unless you meet this requirement, do not bid on the item. If you do, your bid will be cancelled. After I have made a solid identification on you and you provide me with your user name, I will allow you to bid without a 5 or higher feedback score. This vehicle can be viewed and inspected in person Mon. – Fri. 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Church Hill Public Works building located at 251 Silver Lake Road, Church Hill, TN 37642. Sworn members of the Church Hill Police Department, their spouse, and their children are ineligible to bid on vehicle. Inquiries may be directed to the Police Chief.
