This is an extremely clean 1988 Mustang GT 5.0 Convertible with 142,196 miles. According to autocheck the mileage is 304,000 which was obviously a mistake. Please look at this history and see that on 05/05/1999 the miles were71,549 on02/05/2001 304, 185, it was supposed to be 130,418. This is an original 100% rust free California car. The engine starts right up and sounds very healthy. She has a ton of power with headers, and exhaust system. There is no smoke, leaks, overheating, or strange noises. The sound is unbelievable. The motor is very strong, and accelerates beautifully. The clutch feels great, and shifting through all the gears is effortless. It has a unique leather wrapped shifter, it may have a high performance transmission? The brakes, steering, and suspension all felt good when tested. The mechanical, electrical and climate control systems were all in good working condition when tested. The a/c was not blowing cold, and could probably just use a refill on refrigerant. All of the windows work like they should. The soft top is in excellent condition and goes up and down at the press of a button. Cosmetically the car looks great. The body has no dents. There is no rust on the body, chassis, or frame. The paint finish shines beautifully, and looks great! The paint is 22 years old so there are minimal imperfections (chips, nicks, dings).
