Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1991 Mercedes Benz 190E... this has been my daily driver for years and I really hate to part with it (Must sell though - I just bought a new car). This car is such a fun car to drive, owing to the fact that it's equipped with the rare 5-Speed manual transmission and the bigger 2.6 liter straight six engine. As you can tell from the photos, the car has been rather well cared for during it's 160,000+ mile run... it has the usual scratches, paint blemishes/fades and minor dings associated with a near 20 year old vehicle, but for it's age & mileage I'd say it's in good shape. The Good: The car has been maintained by a local independent Mercedes Benz shop (Bell's in Paramus, NJ)... it has had a complete 4-wheel brake & rotor replacement this year, and received a new smog-pump and clutch master/slave cylinders the year previous. The tires are a matching set of Continentals, and have a significant amount of tread left on them. The car has a recent, valid inspection sticker. The Bad: The car does have an engine oil-leak, but I'm not certain from where, and it needs it's serpentine/accessorory belt replacement ASAP, as the old one is starting to go. Also, the driver's door lock is broken (about a $180 repair), so you have to unlock the car from the passenger side until you get the driver's lock fixed. All electric windows work well, but the fuse occassionally blows on the RF & LR windows (same circuit) every few months. I usually keep a few 15 amp fuses in the glove box just in case. The electric radio antennae does not go up anymore. The Interior has some wear-n-tear on the driver's seat and driver's inner door panel. I do have a palomino-colored replacement door panel that is included in the sale that you could replace it with. This replacement panel appears to be in very good shape. The car comes with the original manuals, two keys and a valet key, and it's original MB tool kit. It has an Alpine CD player in place of the original MB Becker radio. As with any used vehicle this age & mileage, this car is sold AS-IS with NO WARRANTY. I accept CASH ONLY, and you must pick-up the vehicle at my house within 7-days after end-of auction (weekdays after 6:00 pm, and any reasonable time on a Saturday or sunday). I do not ship or deliver the vehicle. There is no reserve on this auction, so highest bidder wins. No, there is no Buy-It-Now price, so please do not ask. Otherwise, feel free to ask any other questions you might have about the vehicle. On Jul-20-10 at 05:19:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Note added 7/20/2010 at 8:20 a.m. EDT: The A/C works well most of the time... when sitting still in traffic it sometimes craps out, but when you get moving again it works normally. I believe this might be related to the fan by the condensor, which might not be coming on at the right time (and not drawing heat away from the condensor coils and therefore making the system inefficient)... possibly a fan relay? I'm just not sure.
