Vehicle Detail
Okay, I have had this car since 2004 when it had about 135000 miles. I used it for a daily commute that was 70 miles each way (140 round trip) for a couple years, then for a 90 mile daily round trip for another year or so. So most all of the last 70,000 odd miles are highway mileage (with some stop-and-go, it is the Seattle area of course). A few out-of-state work assignments later and I realize I have daily driven this car in a few years. You can drive to Camano Island. Actually it is the only to get on and off the island unless you use a boat or swim. Camano is about an hour north of Seattle. A nice, scenic drive. I realized I hadn't driven it at all other than moving in the driveway for well over a year, so I figure it can find a new home. I'll probably kick myself when gas goes back up too far, but I have other alternatives. Unlike to some ads I try to state everything (to my detriment) of everything good or bad I can think of or notice rather than use general terms. Please read and reread, then bid.bid. bid Bad: Timing covers off (and missing) as I was getting ready to change the belt last time I was daily driving it took them off then went out of town for a month and I think they were inadvertently tossed (easy enough to find) A few dings and wows (largish dents that aren't bad enough to worry about, but are there) and scuffs and rock chips in hood (see pics) A small amount of rust by the passenger door lock. The hatch trim on the passenger side works it way off over time and needs to be reset (probably use some "gorilla snot" and it would stay Some oil leaks I haven't traced though Could use an oil change Small tear in a seat The drivers seat foam is worn (I used to place some high density foam panels on the seat and put a seat cover over it, worked fine) Sunroof is a little noisy unless you move the handle to just he right positionNeeds a new windshield Battery is nearing the end of its life (It'll take a charge but it drops away after a day or so) Battery hold down in a tie down strap Clutch feels like it is getting a little slippy, but then again it hasn't been driven more than a 50 feet for quite a while) Good: Tires are good though a couple years old. Nothing fancy, just Mojaves from Discount Tire Stock Honda "Snowflake" rims in black (13") Comes with some spare parts (brake discs, drums, etc and clutch I bought so I would have when needed) Averaged a touch 50-52 during summer, 45-48 during winter (winter blend has more ethanol) Good shape for a nearly 20 year old commuter It is a Honda (lots of inexpensive parts, tech knowledge, relatively easy to work on) When in daily use: Plugs, oil, and coolant were change regularly. Muffler was replaced during the last year of daily driving I didn't molest or modify this car. It is stock as can be. No A/C, plain Panasonic AM/FM CD player. AS IS, WHERE IS. It is a used car: it may have no issues for many miles or it may break the next day. NO WARRANTY. Yes, there is a reasonable reserve. On Jul-19-10 at 13:07:23 PDT, seller added the following information: The pic of the gauges in orange letters is not this car. The white lettered gauge picture is for this car (1991 CRX HF). On Jul-22-10 at 06:17:39 PDT, seller added the following information: I notice that the closeup of the bodywork don't really show the wows as intended, but then again they aren't huge dents. If you look close you can make out where they are. Also the sunroof is a dealer install when new rather than from the factory (obvious to some, not to others).
