Vehicle Detail
Up for Bid - 1979 Cheverolet C60 Work Truck I paid $1800 for it about a year ago (I have bill of sale and title (of course), you will pay a lot less. Odometer reads 05527, I don't know how many miles are actually on the truck. It belonged to a local landscape service. I bought it for a project that fell through. Now I have a truck in my front yard. PHOTOS - http://www.flickr.com/photos/38877895@N07/sets/72157624192420967/ It is drive-able. Gasoline engine - Not-Diesel This truck is sold AS-IS. I will try to tell you what I know. Engine Cranks and runs well. Transmission seems fine, shifts no problem. Cab in fair shape - Floorboards Rusted! - see photos. Truck Bed is 11 feet, 10 inches long plus step (24 inches) and it is 8 feet wide. basically 12 feet X 8 feet plus 2 foot step. Not a dump bed. Wood sides are in good condition. Truck bed in fine shape (heavy duty metal), Hitch receiver seems fine. Tires look ok to me, they have tread and haven't gone flat in the year or so that I have owned it. Roof good. Engine compartment looks ok to me, see photos (and I can email more). I had a mechanic look at it and do some carb work etc. Turn signals and brake lights work. The headlights don't come on (don't know why - I have not looked). The previous owner thinks that it has a bad rear end, I don't know. When you first start to go (let off the clutch) it seems hard to get started - like the brake is on or something - but once going - no problem. This may be a symptom of the rear end (I don't know). Anyway - this could make a fine work truck with a little TLC. I will try to answer questions. Keep in mind however that I don't really know much about this truck (I am a computer guy, not a mechanic (unfortunately)). My neighbor convinced me to purchase it for some project that did not happen. With all this in mind - Take a look, email me for location if you wish to inspect (I certainly recommend that you do). Again, this is truck is sold AS-IS. Check my feedback, I try to describe items correctly and fully. Email for more photos or questions! Or - Just BID!
