When trucks were made in the US and maid to last… This 1979 Ford F250 Crew Cab has been upgraded with a 12 valve Cummins power plant out of a 1996 model Dodge truck. The transmission, transfer case and rear-end are Dodge standard equipment as well. It has the power to pull and the classic styling and toughness of the 1970 series Fords. Here are just a few of the many Features, upgrades, and modifications done to this great truck: Inline 6 Cylinder Cummins Diesel Recently remanufactured Automatic Transmission Dana 70 Rear-end Dana 60 Front-end A/C – (All components in place but has never been hooked up after conversion.) Electric Windows Electric Locks Power Steering Hydro boost Brakes Duel Custom Fuel tanks - 30+ Gallons Each Air Bag suspension system Air Tank Air Horn Compressor – (Not working currently) Pyrometer Transmission Temperature Gage Boost Gage 4” Suspension Lift Aluminum Alcoa Rims 35” BFG All-Terrain Tires – (15% Tread Left) The Odometer is beyond mechanical limits but had just rolled over past 99,999 miles when I bought the truck on eBay in 2005. It now shows 18,052. I was told that the engine had around 90,000 on it when the conversion was done. It is in good shape and should last a lot longer with the proper service. I have really enjoyed this truck. As all old Fords are, it has always been a bit of a project. Please give her a new home and treat her good.
