Vehicle Detail
The Suzuki Tempter was a standard-styled, 650cc parallel twin which was sold for only two years in the U.S. market ... they're somewhat rare, particularly with under 9k original miles. The layout of the bike recalls Yamaha's XS650, but with a few added features ... a fuel guage, digital gear indicator on the dash, and Suzuki's unique variable flywheel system which promotes both low-end torque and a willingness to rev. This bike is all original, excepting the rear turn signals, which have been replaced with later-model units. All lights work excepting the "running light" beneath the headlight. I'm assuming that just needs a bulb, but I haven't looked into that. The bike starts INSTANTLY hot or cold, and runs very well. There's the occasional squeak and rattle typical of an older bike, but I've been driving this one daily (and will continue to do so until it sells), and it's reliable as a stone ax. Tires are newer, and very good. Brakes are adequate ... the rear squeaks a little (not uncommon with drum brakes). I have ordered and received fresh pads for the front caliper, and will be installing those and cleaning the front caliper prior to the end of the auction. Fresh fork seals were just recently installed. Tank has some sun fading on the top, but the interior is SPOTLESS. Carbs and airbox are stock - the bike has not been hacked up, fiddled with, or "customized" in any way. These make very nice street-trackers and cafe machines, but they're also a pleasure to ride in just stock condition. Any questions, please ask. Bike is located in Sussex WI. The Wisconsin title is clean and clear. Payment must be made within three days of purchase. I can store the bike up to an additional 10 days, no charge. I can also deliver to the local Haulbikes.com location at no charge, if you would prefer that it be shipped to you. In summary, this is NOT a show bike ... what it is, is a nice example of Suzuki's excellent standard, do-it-all-in-comfort-and-style GR650. Thanks for looking. PLEASE NOTE: the date on my digital camera is incorrect - these pictures were taken within the past week. Reserve is set at $750.
