If you are in the market for what can truly be described as a piece of rolling automotive art, and a testament to old school design, fabrication, and execution in a one of kind, hand-built machine, then this is the right car for you!
Unless you have been under a rock for the past few years, you are well aware of this car, the people that built it, and the level of execution and quality put into it.
This is a real, honest to goodness old school rod, and is a proven and reliable long distance hauler that has more miles than your neighbors 1994 Camry and is STILL just dying to get out on the open road and chew up some more asphalt.
I, personally, would hop in this car tomorrow morning, and drive it ANYWHERE in the lower 48 or Canada! IT IS A RUNNER!!!
All of the old timers in the biz have agreed that the car must have originally been built in the late 40's or early 50's based upon some of the techniques and customization that is done on the car. I was redone in the mid 70's, again in 1990, changed in 2000, and just underwent an overhaul again in 2008.
The paint is amazing, and has so many little details and touches you have to see it to believe it! Roof even shows some "fake" bubbling that was put on to add patina, but Jerry said he will gladly hit that area and make it look normal for the winning bidder for a modest investment if you do not like it.
The finish is not quite gloss, and not quite flat, but somewhere in between, and like 90% of this car, it was finished by Jerry and crew with a propriatary method that he ain't sharing!
Metalflake is one of Rollin' Sixes specialties, and this car is sporting a healthy dose of the stuff!
The custom finished rims literally change color as you roll down the road, it has custom flaked front and rear four-bar and driveshaft, custom flaked grill rods fabricated from welded chain, and a myriad of other unique hand flaked items.
It has REAL John Buterra billet motor mounts from the late 60's/ early 70's! The old school guys would KILL to have these original and truly rare pieces, since John was a pioneer in the billet movement, and is credited with getting a fellow named Coddington hip to that whole scene!
The I-Beam front axle is a drilled unit that was hand dropped by an 82 year old man who perfected the craft, and then covered with $100 worth of spike nuts!
The body is chopped 4" and channeled 6" and the fab work is simply OUTSTANDING! This is no backyard job where some spent too much time reading CKD and decided to go out to Home Depot and buy a saw so they could do a chop. THIS, my friends, is one of the BEST chop and channel jobs I have EVER seen, and it is solid, finished, and professionally executed from every vantage point.
The 350 roller motor with mild crane fireball cam, and a Holley Street Avneger 770 carb that has electric choke is mated to a refurbished 350 trans, Hughes performance kit with hurst rachet shifter, and an 8 inch ford rear, The motor, trans, rearend, etc. were completely gone through from inside out in 2008 and have a little over 1,400 miles on them. An auburn posi with 3.25 Motive Gear manufactured from high strength pure steel alloys using state of the art Gleason technology, then heat treated. This Nascar ready performance set is double lapped to run cool and quiet with a full tooth pattern. It is an expensive gear set. Go google it.... Yeah, told you!
GM electronic ignition with Accel parts.
One-off custom made headers with Earl's soft seal gaskets with stainless header bolts. No leaks here. These were not just thrown together, they were carefully measured and cut for back pressure, and so the noise and exhaust does not enter the rod cabin.
GM discs and rotors up front, with drums in back, all which are in perfect operating order.
Art Morrison coilover kit with new chrome springs and gas shocks.
Full working gauges that light up and are all calibrated.

"This is a well built, well know, REAL hotrod. If you want a cheap built thrown together rod, move on. If you want a quality, dependable trouble free, fun, fast as hell rod that you can take anywhere. Then this one might be for you. If we had to buy and replace a part we used the best. We drive this rod everywhere. All over the state of FL. The rods running water temp is 165,170 all day long in the FL summer. As we said the rod id fast, not for the timid when you step into it and you better be on your toes or it will bite you back LOL. Buts thats what makes this car a blast to drive. You can drive it out of state and when you want it to, it will act and run like a dragster. This car draws a crowd, you better like people LOL. The grownups and kids love this rod. When we do shows the older real hotrod guys who started this whole thing will come up to us and say this is the only real hotrod here, thats big praise and another reason it looks the way it does is for the kids. They just love this rod and we wanted to inspire the kids to maybe growup and build their own rods. We do alot of shows and we just don't see alot of guys trying to get the younger folks involved. We see alot of don't touch signs and such LOL. If you want to have a good time and a great feeling, do what we do and let them in the rod to have their picture taken. it's pricless when you see their faces light up and know you just might have made a new rod guy LOL. Because of this rod going way back, i thought it would be wrong and didn't have the heart to make it look like a new car ( Thats what dealerships are for ) Even though this rod was rebuilt we still wanted it to look like it was built in the 50's in someones back yard. We left the little dents and wrinkels in it that the rodders before me put in it, it's the cars soul. I talked to one owner's grand or great granddaughter who asked if there were wrinkels in the driver's door because she remembers grandma chasing grandpa out of the house with a broom handle when he came home late and he wrinkeled the door on the way out of the barn LOL. Like i said, part of the rods soul and history. I am sure if i could find all the past owners there be more killer storys like that, so how could i take the dents and stuff out? The paint is really cool but not perfect it has some bubbles on the roof, some rust that is really paint and it was done that way on purpose. We have painted alot of show bikes and cars with near perfect paint jobs but found this harder to do for some reason. It doesn't ride like a caddy, more like a nice chevy LOL.
