Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1972 Mustang Mach 1. This car was part of my father-in-law's estate. I am not a mustang man, so I will attempt to describe it the best I know how. I am told it is a fairly rare Q code Mach 1. The Q-code for a 1972 Mach 1 is a V8 351 CID 4V (4 barrel carburetor). This car is an original factory 4 speed. It is a drivable car. It is in good condition. My father-in-law restored the inside. It has new seat covers, carpet, and headliner. He repainted the car, however, it does need a professional paint job. It does look good, though. I think he did a pretty good job. The body appears to be in good condition. I can tell that he replaced the floor pans, but I don't know what other body work he did to the car. You can see from the pictures that it does have some rust underneath. Evidentally the battery must have leaked at some point. The side where the battery is has almost gone. You should be able to see it well in the pictures. The car cranks and runs well. It has not been on the road in quite a while. He never put tags on it. He bought this car in February of 2007. It is my understanding that it was parked and not driven for a while before he bought it. This car does need new tires as they have not been driven in a while. I have driven it short distances on a private road. It does very well. No problems with the transmission or motor. I am not 100% sure, but I do believe it is the original motor. I am not sure, but I would think the miles are accurate. This is not a show car, but it could be. It is an awesome car. If you have any specific questions, please do not hesitate to email me at freckles614@triad.rr.com. I will attempt to answer or get an answer for you.
