This auction is for my all original 1954 Cadillac Series 62. I am not a professional Ebayer. I own a business and am very busy. So, if you are interested in possibly buying the vehicle, please call me to chat. If you are not interested in the vehicle, please do not call me. If you are someone interested in providing your services for re-chroming the car, providing the front and rear Cadillac badges, please call me...as I am very interested in restoring the car as well. The reason for selling is I have too many vehicles, not enough time, and although I would love to restore this baby, I have found that I just don't have the time to source all the parts (without getting screwed) and to make sure that the people I am sourcing the work to are competent. The vehicle purrs like a kitten (ALL ORIGINAL MOTOR/TRANS) and recently passed inspection here in Utah. If someone chooses to "Buy It Now", I will purchase new whitewall tires, and will drive it myself anywhere in the country. This vehicle is a 1954. It was sitting in a barn for 18 years before I got it (honestly). I have driven it maybe 50 miles since then. I wanted to make it into a great looking Sunday driver, but just haven't had the time to source the badging (front and rear Cadillac symbols), and adequately clean the interior, etc...the car is SOLID. There is a little seam rust and a few little spots around the car, but nothing to be really concerned about. In the 50 miles I have driven it, I have received THUMBS-UP everywhere! Here is the deal. I bought the vehicle as an "original Cadillac with 4X,XXX original miles"....blah, blah, blah. I am not a Cadillac aficianado, but just a normal guy that knows a good thing when he sees it. The vehicle looks incredible to me and runs good which I thought was amazing. So, I bought the car. So, since the title says 54', I believe it to be a 54'. Someone mentioned the tailights would tell me it is a 55' (attached is the photo of the tailight), seems to me that the tailights detail it being a 54'. The vehicle is listed as a "Fleetwood", since that is what it says on the title, and there is no listing on Ebay for a "Series 62". I do mention in the ad that it is a Series 62. Semantics aside, this is a Cadillac, that I promise, and I promise it runs, and I promise that it is a solid car. I am selling this as a vehicle that is 55+ years old. Therefore, it is being sold as is. Hell, the parts on this car are worth more than my asking price. 6k will buy the car if that is all it sells for. I will guarantee that the vehicle will run and that the blinkers, the tailights, everything that is needed to drive it on the street will work. I am looking to sell this to someone who sees it as a good deal...and realizes that this is 55+ years old and doesn't have airbags, abs brakes, etc...someone that is not an idiot. If you are someone that wants to know the code on the inside of the gas tank, and photos of the cylinder walls, etc...please waste someone else's time. Chances are, there are guys that would love to give this information to you about their Cadillacs...however, they will probably be asking about 30k+ more than me. Thanks for understanding...or not.
