Vehicle Detail

Hi, you are looking at a early style, flathead powered modified roadster. I built this car a little over three years ago, and it has about 5000 miles on it. We'll start with the chassis, it's 2x3 box tube, tig welded, built correctly and reinforced in all the important areas. It has a model A front axle, spring, perches and split bones. The rear end is a '36 Ford with a open drive conversion, Model T spring and '46 shocks. The brakes are '46 Ford all the way around. It uses a Model A steering box, so it's not as tight as the later steering boxes but it works good. when I built this car every bearing, seal, brake part(master cyl, wheel cyl, hoses, etc. were brand new. That includes the rear end and transmission, were completely rebuilt. The transmission is a '46 1/2 ton truck trans, it's just like a '39 passenger car trans but it's open drive and uses a regular style drive shaft. The wheels are '34 Ford 17" and are nice and true, and has Firestone wide whites on them, which are in great shape still like new. The headlights are original BLC lights and it has a 1928 AR drum tailight. The body is based on a '28 Model A cowl, and the back half is built out of other car panels to make a nice shapley roadster body. It has a natural sun baked patina, but could be painted nice if someone wanted too. Intereior is very simple and easy to remove for cleaning, and has a full set of gauges, although the speedometer is not hooked up. It still uses the stock Cowl gas tank, it is in fantastic shape and has been coated so the will never be and rust problems. Now the ENGINE! This is no old motor pulled from some old car and painted up, it's fully rebuilt with all the best stuff. It's a '53 block, it was magnifluxed and checked for cracks. It's bored .040 over with silvolite pistons, the crank was turned .010 on the mains and rods. Clevite main, rod and cam bearings. It has a Isky max-1 cam, Isky valve springs, stock ford valves, aluminum timing gear and front cover. NOS ford oil pump, and stock igintion. A single Holley 94 carb gets fuel to it through a stock aluminum intake, but it would really be cool with a 2x2 on it. It has a set of original Edlebrock heads on it, which have had the chambers matched and valve pockets deeped to accept a bigger cam if wanted. Custom built chrome headers, and they sound great! It has always run great, has 40# of oil pressure going down the road hot, and has never overheated or run hot. It never gets over 170 degrees even on the hottest days. This is No rat rod, it was built right with early parts, and is fun to drive! I hate to sell it but I'm building another car so it's time for this on to make someone else happy now. It has a clear Florida title and proper vin plate and is registered and insured as a 1923 roadster. If you have any questions please feel free to email me. Thanks for looking and good luck! On Jul-09-10 at 12:46:19 PDT, seller added the following information: It is registered as a 1923 Model T. It has a correct Vin plate and is currently registered and insured. It should be no problem registering this car anywhere. Thanks. On Jul-11-10 at 15:48:56 PDT, seller added the following information: I added 2 pics. I know the pictures are dark but my camera sucks. If you need to see more I am going to try to take more, just ask. The intake that is on it in the two new pics is not the one that goes with it. You can bid with confidence on this car, there is nothing to hide, so if you need to see a pic of something you dont see here, please ask. Thanks!
