1979 Honda CR

Up for sale is a 1979 Honda CR125 R, "Red Rocket" I bought this bike a year or so ago and have riden it only a couple of times. It is in good shape and would make a perfect bike for a complete restore. The bike has the much sought after 23 inch front wheel. This bike has had the shocks replaced from stock with what appear to be after market FOX shocks from the correct period. It looks good from a few feet away but is no way a perfect example of a restoered bike. The kick stand has been removed as many of them were, however I have a kick stand I will throw in with the deal. I have replaced the carb with one I purchased off of ebay and however as you can see in the pictures I have two of these bikes, if I were to keep it I would buy the Sudko carb that I have installed on the other bike in the photos. I do not have much history on this bike, it appears to me that along the way someone has been inside the motor, I have not. Handlebars are straight, forks do not leak and fork boots are new, tires are a little over 50% for the front and almost new for the rear. This bike runs and shifts fine. This bike is in great shape for being 31 years old, these are becoming more and more sought after every year, especially the 1979 model with the large 23 inch front wheel. This was truly a race ready bike in its day. I am an older guy who knows an awful lot about these particular bikes, I bought one of them brand new in 1979 when I was 14, and have been on a mision to get another and restore it to like new condition.
