Vehicle Detail
*Relisted with a Lower Reserve* 1968 RS Chevrolet Camaro V8 Lets start by saying that I am not getting rid of this because I want to. Times are hard and this is the last thing I want to do. This is my dream car. So it can go to somebody who is ready to finish it. This is a real RS V8 Camaro. VIN plate matches, along with the other hidden signs of a real RS with hide away headlights. ie.. the hole in the firewall for the headlight tubes. These are getting harder to come by in this state. And really all this needs is your motor, whatever it be and paint, what ever color it be. I recently bought this car with hopes of restoring with my son. The previous owner had owned the car for the last 12 years and provided me with extensive amount of receipts for work done to the vehicle. The car is 90% restored and ran okay when I bought it. After driving it to work for a couple of weeks, the engine finally gave out. So I traded the bad motor for rebuilt Turbo 350 transmission which is included. And in great shape might I mention. And don't worry it wasn't the matching motor. Car was in 100% working order before I pulled the motor this May. Everything worked (radio, gauges, lights, interior lights, blinkers, brakes, wipers, and anything else I'm forgetting.) So I would have to say that they still work. The headlight doors do need some lube to properly open. Exterior: This car is COMPLETELY rust free. The entire front end is brand new metal as you can see. The rear quarters were replaced and the body work was completed. The entire floor board is in great shape. The radiator support, subframe, rear frame, frame rails are in great shape. Like I said this is a solid, rust free car. As you can see there is a dent on the passenger door. My bodyman said this is a quick fix, when the car came in for paint. Not to mention that I have an extra passenger door. The back half of the car has been primered, ready to be blocked, and painted. The vinyl roof is in outstanding condition. No wear or Fade, especially since the car is always in the garage, even at the previous owners house. To my knowledge this car has never been involved in an accident. Suspension: The car has disc brakes in the front and original drums in the rear, which work great. All of the bushing were replaced approx. 5 years ago. Car rides smooth and nothing needs replacing. My intention was to put a Art Morrison frame or front clip under it, so this stuff didn't matter to me. But it all in good shape. Interior: Like I said all the electrical works. The interior is how its pictured, great shape. I think the pictures explain it the best. Extras: I have the rear wing for it, new moldings, and some misc. other stuff. I do have the driveline, battery and battery tray, which aren't pictured. So if you have questions, want to see the car, more pics give me a call. I am willing to take a couple payments under the right circumstances from the winning bidder. I'm am selling the car as-is with no promises, guarantees, or warranties. I am not a professional body man or mechanic so everything I told you is to the best of my knowledge. I am willing to show the car, so you can see for yourself. The car is being offered for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end auction early. Call Me if you really want this car. (909)908-8872.
