I am listing this Suburban for a friend. I have had this at my house for about 2 months now and have noted all of the high and low points so here they are... The Good: Engine runs very strong and smooth, starts right up and runs nice and cool all day long. Transmission shifts perfectly without any slipping, kicking, or shuttering. The truck has a heavy duty hitch although I doubt the owner has ever used it. She has owned this truck since 2002. The title is clean and clear and signed off and ready to go. Front brake pads and rotors were replaced less than 100 miles ago and the truck stops on a dime. Plugs and wires were replaced at the same time and oil was changed as well (have receipts). Tires are almost like new and are matching Michelin brand tires. Interior is in very good shape especially for the year and mileage and even has the third row seat. Also has tinted windows all around. This is overall a very nice SUV and I am confident that the new owner will be able to just get in and drive it home no matter what part of the country they live in. This Suburban is 100% stock including the suspension, stereo, motor, wheels, everything. Also, I have never noticed any leaks from anywhere in the engine compartment and I regularly park it in my driveway and never get oil stains underneath. The Bad: The "check engine" light is on and thus it will not pass emissions. I had it scanned and it came up as a fault in the EVAP system. I replaced the gas cap and had it reset but the same code popped up again. My mechanic is extremely busy and does not have time to look into it and neither do I but I imagine that it won't be anything too complicated. Probably just a sensor or wire and I am confident it will otherwise pass emissions once this is taken care of. Also, the AC doesn't blow cold so it may need a recharge. The left side passenger door and rear barn doors have to be locked manually but all other locks work well as do the windows and power seats. Even the heated driver's seat works great. The Ugly: The driver's seat has the typical wear on it from sliding in and out but it is clean and comfy. The rear bumper is pushed in a bit but it does not interfere with the doors or hitch. The hood has a slight crease in it and is most easily noticed when looking out from the driver's seat. The trim on the front bumper is loose on one end. The driver's side tail light is cracked and the driver's side-view mirror housing is loose but the mirror itself is nice and tight. This vehicle is being sold pending smog Cert. and is currently parked at my house in San Diego county. The tags are up to date and I have the title in hand and am willing to help deliver within 200 or so miles for the cost of fuel.
