Up for auction is my 1985 jeep cj-7 renegade, this jeep has 159K miles. I bought this recently to build a crawler but I dont have the time, I have driven the jeep very little since I purchased it. I did repair a bad valve cover leak and I replaced the power steering gear with a new one. The engine runs strong with lots of power, I think the carb needs some work because it wont idle, but as long as you are driving it runs great. The transmission is a 4 speed manual (M-176) and it shifts through all gears as it should. The transfer case is a dana 300 it works as it should in all ranges. The front end is a dana 30 and the rear is a amc 20. I am selling the jeep with a hard top and full hard doors, and a bikini top and half steel doors off of a yj, they need painted because they are red at this time. The carpet is gone and the floor has been bed lined, someone before me tried to stain the spice seats and dash black as you can see in the pics. The A/C does not work, one of the lines on the compressor needs to be replaced, it has a bad fitting and leaked. I think it would be a fairly easy fix if you wanted A/C. I have driven the jeep down the highway at 70mph with no issues, there is a bit of a vibration around 55mph then it goes away as you reach around 60mph. I know this sounds like a lot but I want to be honest and I dont want someone to buy this jeep thinking they are getting a new vehicle it is 25 years old.
