Vehicle Detail

72 MGBGT the body is completely rust free. I recently completely rebuilt the engine(with recites),front suspension and brakes and installed a new exhaust system .The tires are good and the car has wire wheels. This is a great running and handling car. The engine was bored +20 ,line bored , the deck resurfaced and new cam bearings installed. The cylinder head was crack checked, face resurfaced, valve seat inserts installed in all valve seats, new valves and guides and the intake guides machined to accept valve seals. Also it received new lifters. oil pump, and timing chain. All new water hoses water pump and heater control valve. The heavy metal fan was replace with a later model plastic fan. The distributor was converted to Crane electronic ignition. .The intake manifold was modified to accept 1 3/4" HS6 carbs with a 4 bolt flange.A new electric fuel pump and dual cable choke cable like a TR6 was added and all the smog equipment is installed and operating. A completely new exhaust system was installed V8 style pressed in lower control arm bushing installed and the outer pivot holes in the lower control arms were reinforced by welding in metal and redrilling. New upper and lower pivot bolts seals and bushings. Front brake pads replaced rotors resurfaced, rear shoes and wheel cylinders replaced and brake master cylinder rebuilt. Clutch slave and hose replaced and master cylinder rebuilt and a new clutch disc installed when the engine was replaced New single 12v battery installed in place of the dual 6v.All gauges, switches and electrical accessories work. there were other things done but from this list you car see i have been busy with this car. All this mechanical work was done over the last seven months and the car runs great and has plenty of power on the freeway only turning about 3500 rpm even with no overdrive. It really handles like a sports car. The interior looks good. I installed a new carpet set and a pair of Volvo retractable seat belts. The door panels and seat covers had been redone by a previous owner and are not original style but look good The car was repainted at some point and it looks OK but there are chips and scrapes and a crack in the windshield.Cosmetically this car looks good but is not fresh out of the oven. This is a great running solid car ready to be driven ever day which i do.
