NO RESERVE ** MUST SELL - For sale is our 1974 VW Beetle Karman Convertible. Needs some tuning and finishing. Has rebuilt engine and is ready for its 300 mile valve adjustment (read JOHN MUIR‘s book!) Needs idle set, and timing may need to be set. Odometer says @ 85k but I don’t know if this is accurate. Previous owner had installed an electric fuel pump. Has FREEWAY FLYER transmission. Chrome accouterments on engine. Starts and runs. I drive it around town, but I would not recommend long trips until issues mentioned are addressed. Good Title, new battery. Stereo is new but needs better ground or new antennae. Floor boards are good and appear to be original. Car has been repainted and looks good overall. I did go to the trouble of including extra pics so that you can see that behind the convertible top hinge on the inside, and between the wind shield and dashboard the old color is visible. Also note the pic showing minor rust inside front corner of door jam on driver’s side. Top is good: Please note pic showing the minor defect in the cloth top near the base on the driver’s side. All the glass is good. I hate to let it go, but I have other non-automotive projects, a new job, and a severe distrust of Mr. GoodWrench. Being sold AS IS, WHERE IS. The car is a real head turner and is going to be a great car for some one, - but it is going to need some work. There seems to be a lot of CON ARTIST in the antique Volkswagen community, so I want to be straight with who ever buys the convertible. I would recommend towing or bringing a trailer if you live outside of Oklahoma County (as I said - it is ready for the 300mile after rebuild valve adjustment *read MUIR‘s book.*) New job prohibits me from finishing myself.
