1964 VW Volkswagen Camper Kombi Pop Top Bus ** NO RESERVE ** Very rare very straight and gorgeous VW Camper Bus. Purchased from private seller on June 16, 2008 for $ 22,100.99. In last two years an additional $ 8,000 invested in upgrades. Original bill of sale attached in photos below. Approximately 2000 miles driven in last two years. It was used occasionally for parades and a few shows only. Priced to sell quickly, this bus will make its new owner very happy. This bus could use a full restoration to be immaculate, but it could also be driven as is for quite a while. It needs little TLC things but nothing major. The shifter linkage was replaced and I feel it needs a touch of adjusting. Sometimes in 4th gear it pops out and into neutral if you let off the accelerator quick. Please do NOT buy this car if you are looking for a perfect new bus, they don't exist. This is a fun daily driver and with minor TLC can run another 45 year. The car is titled and registered to me. California Registration is current through 2011. Taxes paid. I cannot find the title and if I cannot find it by auction end ( 72 hours ) I will notarize the appropriate paperwork at DMV to reissue new title in one shot to new eBay buyer. That is not a problem I have done that before. I may find it within 72 hours, just have to look in my files. I found the bill of sale I got two years ago when I bought the van. Its shown in pictures below. The van has a really sweet bumping stereo system, speakers in the doors and panels. Dual gel-cel battery Optima yellow tops. Custom felt headliner with cool embossed VW imprint. The perfect buyer for this incredibly low priced van is someone who understands that it needs some TLC and minor little things. I'm looking to sell it quickly as I no longer have space for it in my garage. There is NO RESERVE on this auction so if you bid be prepared to buy it. Buyer must pick up 20 miles from San Francisco. Car can drive across country but I wouldnt because it hasnt driven across town in a year. Best bet is to send a flat bed or enclosed car hauler to get it.
