Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1969 CHEVELLE 307cu power steering manual brakes with less than 45,000 original miles. This car has been in my family for about 9 years my brother bought it from the grand daughter of the original owner and i purchased it off him. This car was completely stock when i got it.All the original body panels are still on this car and in mint condition (with the exception of a small spot at the bottom of each fender) not like the non fitting aftermarket jap stuff you see on so many of these cars today. And the trunk and interior are just like day one 1969 on the showroom floor. The interior is dark green (looks black at night) and has perfect cloth seats which is really nice on those hot days (no legs sticking to the seats).the inside is so clean that even the steering wheel looks like new and all the dash and gauges as well infact when a friend at NPD parts warehouse needed an original door pad to borrow to get measurements for reproducing 1969 door pads they came to me after asking dozens of people who were only upset to find out that theirs were aftermarket, So with much hesitation i said ok and sure enough my door pads were all original and still had the factory watershield paper behind em and in perfect shape too and under further investigation we concluded that they had never even been off the car.The trunk was also in perfect shape all i had to do was clean it out put a fresh coat of trunk paint and a new mat. As far as the outside goes YES it does need a paint job to look as good as the rest of the car but it is mostly original paint and everyone says it looks fine leave it alone but im just very picky. I did put the 69 SS stripe on the side and a SS hood on it(still have the stock hood too) and had it painted the factory color (frost green) but the shade is off due to the age and fading of the rest of the car. All the chrome and bumpers are still in unbelievable shape as well as the factory vinyl top (just add armoral and it shines like new). The motor runs excellent starts and purrs like a kitten and even tho it's only a 307 it's actually pretty quick for stock (no race car ofcourse). As you can see in the pictures I have done a few changes to it to make it a little more of a muscle car than a little old ladies car starting with the exhaust, I took off the manifolds and put on a set of headers and a full 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust to the back bumper with flowmaster mufflers and the SS cowbell tips, I also took out the points distributer and put in a brand new hei electronic one and along with that i added an aluminum intake a 4barrel carb(edelbroc 500) and a chrome dress up kit.The car had a perfect shifting powerglide trans when i got it but i really wanted to make this car more of a power tour type ride so i had my trans guy take it to his shop and build and install me a 700r4 overdrive transmission with a nice shift kit and a fresh 12 bolt posi rearend. This really woke the car up and gave it the get up and go it needed with the lower first gear ratio and the overdrive made it a dream to drive on the highway. I also took off the little 14x6 grannie rally wheels and put on a set of 15x8 corvette rallys. The factory am radio still works and its still hooked up but i hid an fm cd player in the glove box and 2 6x9's in the rear dash. If i thought for a sec i would have had to let this car go i would of left it the way i bought it and asked big money for it but live and learn. I had big plans for it but now the economy forces me to sell it. There are many other 69 chevelles on here with new paint and big blocks but there are very few left that out there with low miles that still have as much originality in them and had such a easy life as mine. THANKS FOR LOOKING On Jun-30-10 at 12:23:17 PDT, seller added the following information:PLEASE REMEMBER THIS CAR IS IS A NUMBERS MATCHING NEVER BEEN TAKEN APART 45K MILE CAR EVEN THE BUZZER STILL GOES OFF IF YOU LEAVE THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION. I AM ALSO SELLING THIS CAR LOCALLY AND RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END EARLY IF IT SELLS...
