Up for auction is a Vintage 1971 Honda CT70 H (Trail 70) 4 speed. This bike is what you call a frame on restoration where the frame was left alone and most of the parts that bolt on where either cleaned up, refinished or restored. This started off as a low mileage nice bike. It does come with a clear Michigan title. The headlight was cracked so it was replaced and repainted. As you can see the paint does not match the original finish. The chain guard was repainted as well. Anything else that was repainted was powder coated including the foot brake, seat pan, seat bracket, gas tank bracket, seat latch, foot pegs and kick stand. The seat pan was cracked so it was restored and new foam and cover were added. All of the original nuts and bolts were restored. A new battery was added. The motor was apart and cleaned up. The clutch was rebuilt with heavy duty clutch springs. The motor cases were painted as well as the cylinder and side cover. The carb was cleaned and rebuilt. The triple tree was polished as well as the tappet covers on the head. A new front fender was added. New chain and sprocket. I am sure I am missing things that have been done but covered the main points. It runs and drives great, shifts through all the gears and starts easy. The lights and horn do work. The light switch cap is broken off. I did not install the rear shock covers because I like the way it looks. There are scratches in the paint. This was not a total or 100% correct restoration so there are some parts of the bike that show wear. This is a great solid every day good looking driver.
