Vehicle Detail

I am the original owner of this 1989 Dodge Dakota Sport Convertible 4x4. I ordered every option available at the time except for the automatic transmission. I chose the 5 speed instead. The truck has 181,788 original miles on it. Up until 2 years ago, it was my daily driver.(That's only an average of around 8600 miles a year). The truck looks excellent from a distance and I still get a lot of positive comments when people see it. Especially a lot of: "I didn't know they made truck convertibles"? The truck does need quite a bit of body repair. The truck runs great and is very dependable! I've added a lot of extras in order to make it sturdier to trailer my 20" boat.( I've listed these items below). This truck came with: 3.9L V-6, A/C, Pwr. Steering, Pwr. Brakes, Pwr Door Locks, Pwr.Windows, Tilt Wheel, Cruise Control ,AM-FM-Cassette, Towing Package, Intermittent wipers, & Fog Lamps. I have added: A Jensen AM-FM-CD player, Aluminum Wheels by American Racing, Fiberglass Locking Cargo Cover by Century, Visor Shelf, Hood Deflector, Bed-liner & Cargo Light. And for towing: I have added a Power Chip, a K&N Air Filter, Edelbrock Headers w/custom y-pipe, a Cat-Back System which includes a larger Catalytic converter, Pipe, and a Dynomax Muffler, Load Leveler Air Springs Kit w/in the Cab 12V Air Compressor(which lets you add or subtract air without leaving the cab) by Hi-Lift, and a Class III Hitch w/2" Ball. New clutch and universal joint installed June 2006. Pilot bushing and release bearing installed Nov. 2007. New radiator w/lifetime warranty installed June 2006. Replaced battery Sept. 2009. The truck uses some oil. After 2-3 weeks of driving I usually have to add about a quart.(It doesn't drip oil and there is no obvious white or blue smoke while driving, so I don't know where it goes.) The Passenger side header is rusting out, so the truck is loud. The AC doesn't get cold.(My mechanic told me the evaporator need replaced). Needs rust repairs.(See Photos below) There are cracks in the dashboard. Glove Box needs latch. The Convertible Top has been replaced and is in excellent condition! I also have the Convertible Top Boot which hasn't been used more than about 5 times in 21 years. There is also plenty of tread life left on the tires! I still have the original rims, exhaust manifolds, catalytic converter, pipe and stereo which are included. The truck is sold AS IS and the buyer is responsible for any shipping arrangements. I will need a minimum of $500.00 deposited to my Pay Pal account on day of sale. The N.A.D.A. price report values this1989 truck at $2553.00 under the "Low Retail Estimate" and I couldn't find a 1989 listing from Kelly s Blue Book but the listed value of a 1990 is $2675.00 in "FAIR" Condition. Going by their definition of fair, I would have to say that this truck is definitely better than fair. I feel a minimum starting bid of $2325.00 is not unreasonable. Thanks A Lot for your interest and good luck on bidding! NOTE: There is also rust damage above the windshield in the middle that I wasn't able to show in the photos. Sorry about that.
