Vehicle Detail

1957 MGA 1500, a real Arizona car IN Arizona, listed with NO RESERVE. This car was originally Teal with a Black interior and was purchased in Arizona in the early sixties by my friend's neighbor. It was last registered in 1979 when the engine threw a rod and it underwent a restoration attempt throughout the 1980's. Him and his son took the car apart, rebuilt a different 1500cc motor, purchased all sorts of parts and had the interior completely redone. The motor was placed in a workshop, the interior was put in a bedroom along with a brand new bumper, grill, a new top, lenses, mirrors, and other various parts. The car was then abandoned until I acquired it less than a year ago. I was planning on restoring it myself, but I have decided to focus on my Eldorado instead. Being an Arizona car, it is 99% rust free, and the body does not have a single dent or ding anywhere, it is as straight as an arrow. Both doors open and line up nicely. The only problem areas are the side rocker panels which will need to be replaced. (They are $59.95 from Moss http://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=29234 ) Other than those two areas, the car is rock solid- under the doors, in the jams, the trunk, all four quarter panels, the lip around the trunk, the rear splash pan, etc.- all rust free. The car had some surface rust, I sanded most of it off to show that even in the worst places it is not pitted, once sanded all the way down the body will be close to perfect. I have done extensive research on this car, as I intended to restore it. The steering wheel is a very rare Formula / Speedwell item which can easily be restored and will look amazing! Here is some information about the steering wheel: http://mk1-performance-conversions.co.uk/steering_wheel_archive.htm http://www.minibandits.com/gallery/album19/Formula_Speedwell_Steering_wheel_LL_gloves_with_Graham_Hill_Signature_Tag You can buy virtually any part for this car through places like Moss, and there is a wealth of knowledge and resources through forums online. Car comes with a clean and clear title, and is begging to be restored! I have tried to be as honest and informative as possible, car is sold as is, and must be towed home. The tires DO hold air which makes it easy to get on a trailer. Feel free to ask questions! Check out all the parts and pictures! This DOES NOT come with car, just a picture of what the steering wheel will look like restored: New Top:
