Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1991 GMC Syclone. This vehicle was the spiritual successor to the well know and extremely high performing Buick GNX. This vehicle has a 4.3L Turbo Charged V6 engine in BONE STOCK form, it is NOT MODIFIED and has NEVER BEEN modified. If you have followed these vehicles you know how rare it is to find one not only clean, but in completely original condition. It runs like new and is extremely powerful. It is backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission in perfect operating condition. It does not slip, clunk or leak. This Syclones exterior condition is showroom new without even a single stone chip. There are NO dents, dings or scratches in the hood, doors, front fenders, cab, box or tailgate. The inside of the box is completely rust free with a few small scratches from the original owner needing to use it in a pinch. It now has a rubber mat custom fit to the bed protecting it from any further scratches. It is topped off with a perfect condition tonneau cover with absolutely no rips, tears or wear. All of the emblems and badges on this vehicle are in original, perfect condition. The original alloy wheels have absolutely ZERO Curb Rash and are wrapped with 245/50/ZR16 BF Goodrich Comp TA tires. (The originals were showing signs of "wearing out") The body cladding on this Syclone is also in absolutely excellent condition. There are zero cracks or fading and absolutely no warping or separation from the mounting points. The all original interior is in equally perfect condition with no wear, fading or cracking on the seats, armrests, center console, shifter, door panels or carpet. The dashboard is also in excellent condition without the color fading or warping that’s common to vehicles stored outdoors - which this vehicle has not been. The original drivers side floormat does show some wear, however the carpet underneath is perfect. All switches and buttons are in perfect condition, completely legible with slight wear only found on the cruise control. The GMC Syclone was a limited edition performance vehicle introduced in 1991 with 3000 examples produced before production ceased late in 1991. (When production was shut down late in 1991 only three 1992 model year Syclones were ever produced.) Like the GNX before it, it broke GM’s unwritten rule of no vehicle being able to outperform the Corvette… However with its 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds and ¼ mile time of 13.4, the Vette was not the only “sports car” that needed to worry. These vehicles are also documented to be able out accelerate Porshes legendary 959 and as you see in the Car and Driver Magazine cover, the Ferrari 348ts. Its street brawler reputation quickly made it a legend and earned it the title of “Fastest Pickup Truck” ever produced. It is equipped with the following options and accessories: 4.3L PFI Turbo charged V6 engine w/intercooler, 4-speed auto trans, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, power steering, turbine styled aluminum wheels, AC, Cruise, AM/FM stereo with cassette, custom interior trim, special performance package, console shifter, lamp group, floor mats, visor vanity passenger mirror, door map pockets, inside rr view mirror with dual reading lamps, aero package, manual bucket seats, dual mirrors, deep tinted windows, power windows, power locks, fog lamps, heavy duty battery, 32mm front stabilizer shaft, controlled cycle wipers, gas filled shock absorbers, tilt steering, all-wheel drive, engine oil cooler, limited slip differential, black primary paint, black trim, high performance brake and fuel system, bucket seats with manual lumbar adjustment, tonneau cover, special turbo instrumentation with boost gauge, functional dual exhaust outlets, “Syclone” identifiers, high capacity transmission cooling package, console with coup holder and storage and a leather wrapped steering wheel. It comes with the following ORIGINAL PAPERWORK and memorabilia: Original Owners Manual Original Owners Manual Supplement Original Warranty and Owner Assistance Information Brochure Original Tire Maintenance and Warranty Brochure Original Maintenance Schedule Brochure Carfax Vehicle History Report (I can email a copy of this to you if you would like) PAS Duplicate Window Sticker Original Full Color Sales Brochure Separate Framed Page from Sales Brochure “Born for Performance” Hot Haulers Group 6, Number 9 Full Color Picture Spec Sheet 2- GNM Sportscards Full Color Trading Cards (GMC Syclone) Muscle Cards #149 Trading Card (GMC Syclone) Very Rare Johnny Lightning Truckin’ America 1:64 Scale Black ’91 Syclone Diecast (never opened) Very Rare Johnny Lightning Kiss Edition 1:64 Scale Silver ’91 Syclone Diecast (never opened) Very Rare Johnny Lightning Working Trucks & SUV’s Class 1:64 Scale Black ’91 Syclone Diecast (never opened) March, 1991 Magazine Article (1 Pg back and front) December, 1991 Car Magazine with 4-Pg Article September, 1991 Autoweek Magazine with 5-Pg Article Very Rare September, 1991 Car and Driver Magazine (cover) with 8-Pg Comparison Article to Ferrari’s 348ts I would love to see this truck go to someone who is an enthusiast. This Syclone has been meticulously maintained by myself and its original owner. (I am the second owner) I had hopes of it becoming a project car, however with our newest addition to the family, the two seat truck is just impractical for my family of four. A $1000 deposit is due within 48 hours after the end of the sale via Paypal or bank to bank wire transfer.
