Hello and thanks for looking at my auction. I need to sell my wife's GS 455 Convertible clone. She has been without work and we need the money. We have owned this car for 11 years and restored it 7 years ago. The car is a very nice driver and has been used as such. Here's the details. Body The body had been restored once before we bought the car. The floors and quarters had been repaired with metal. The work on the floors could have been nicer for cosmetics but function as if the had never been fixed. We put new quarters on when we painted the car in 2003. There was minimal rust on the remainder of the car at that time, and there is NO RUST on the car now. The bumpers were re-chromed and the door handles replaced when we painted the car. Last summer I ran over something and put a sent in the right side just behind the door, there a re pics of it. The estimate to repair it was $700.00. That is all new metal there so I see no problems with having it fixed. There are a few very small rock chips on the car, because it has been driven. Interior The interior is great. It was replaced in 2003. I replaced the springs and cushions in the front seats. The shifter is after market and works great. There is 3 inches of insulation under the carpet to help cool and insulate the interior. The convertible top was professionally replaced in 2003, along with the header bow and one other top bow. There is a AM/FM?CD plater with an amp and subs that will rock your world Drivetrain The engine is a stout 455. It was put in in 2002 and has ran flawlessly since. It has stock pistons, a TA performance cam and lifters and a edelbrock B$B intake topped with a 850 Demon carb. Behind is a 200R4 transmission that was built by Chance Racing Transmissions for this big block. The rear is a 8.5 inch 3.55 posi that was put in in 2007 when the transmission was put in. Also in 2007 we went through the front suspension and the brakes. It has SSBC calipers and rotors up front and stock drums in the rear. Other Goodies The car has power steering and brakes, power windows and air conditioning. The ac was updated to r134 and a sandin compressor in 2005 and has been flawless since. Overall this is an exceptional driver, here is what it needs. The quarter panel fixed, a power window switch and the shifter cover secured to the floor. This car is as dependable as any new car on the road. Since it has been finished we have driven it about 30,000 miles with no problems. I have made several round trips to dallas and home in this car with ease. The over drive transmission makes the car a blast to drive. The miles are not actual, I am sure the odometer has turned over once. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION. I need this car to sell soon. Therefore the bidding will start at 10K and the first bid owns the car. I turned down 18k two years ago so somebody is getting a heck of a deal. THIS IS A 3 DAY AUCTION. THE RULES ARE THIS. NO out of country bidders. $2000.00 deposit is due within 3 days of the auction end, the balance is due within 7 days of auction end. I can store the car for 21 days at no charge as long as it is paid for. You can fly in to Wichita and drive it home. All no cash funds must be cleared before the car leaves. I have a clear title.
