1972 GMC Super Custom Camper No Body rot anywhere and has most of the original factory paint with some shine Tailgate is like new and is all original has been off of truck and store away for over 30 years. Fresh interior, reupholstered seat, and new interior paint (Interior restored) Rebuilt engine and transmission. Truck came from a hot dry climate, no snow ice or salt. Not used commercially or as a farm truck. Used as a personal camping vehicle and adult owned. I bought it from the original owner 6 Years ago took in home and pull the carpet and plugs. Cleaned all areas that can hold dirt. (I had 12 of these trucks I know where they can Rot) Rocker panels are clean inside and not crusty or rusty. Cab corners, roof rails, door bottoms, radiator support, cab floors, cab mounts, lower front fenders, lower tailgate, bed floor, fresh air vents. fire wall by blower, and other places where cleaned and checked. The only place I had to cut open to clean out was the passenger inside kick panel to remove the dirt in that area ( I do this with all my trucks) Long story short very solid truck. rides nice too. Overall condition of vehicle Truck is drivable but will need a safety inspection, insurance, and current registration to be road worthy. Check with your state for requirements. trim and chrome - good to excellent, all trim is in good shape with some pieces having small dins and scratches. Chrome grill believed to be the original is excellent with a couple of small dins in it. Chrome front bumper is excellent and Very straight and chrome is good. Glass and windshield - Excellent, no heavy scratches. Front windshield has been recently replaced with new tinted glass and has no chips or flaws. Paint and body- Drivers door appears to have been replaced at one time and repainted. Right rear bed had a repair and was also repainted. All panels except driver door are original panels. Original paint is faded and has some small dins, dent, and scratches from age. Paint surface still has some shine left. Truck bed is excellent no rust through or rust pitting on floors. Bed wheel wells, inside panels, and top rails are good, only small dins in floor. For those of you that paint I have Not used any silicons or waxes on this truck. Hardware- All window regulators, door handles, latches, hinges, and locks are good. Wiring and electrical- Nothing looks burned up or modified in cab or engine compartment. Trailer wiring could use a clean up. All lights work and electrical motors operate. Radio works need new speaker and antenna Engine and transmission- Transmission was serviced and appears to have been rebuilt and is in good working order. Engine is a 350 four bolt mains .030 over bore and .010-.010 crank was freshened up with a new ring and bearing set. Repairs needed- This truck is 38 years old very good shape for it age. Make sure you inspect every inch of this vehicle before you start diving it for safety reasons. I went through it 5 years ago changed all the fluids and checked brakes and suspension parts and it is time to do that again. The exhaust system will need replacing some time soon, header pipes are still good. I don't see any major repairs needed but some detail work. Truck was always maintained. Wanted to see if there is any interest in a Rare original paint truck. The other trucks are usually all sun burned, paint checked, and have a all over rust tinge. The paint on these truck will have to be stripped and metal treated. There is a tinge starting on the engine hood but rest of truck is sand, seal, and paint. This way you also get to see the original metal (No rot cover ups) Feel free to ask questions and come by and see the truck if possible.
