POLICE AUCTION: Red 1990 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado Z71, 102,488 miles, automatic transmission, 4WD, VIN 1GCDK14K4LZ107985. This vehicle was seized by our department (Church Hill Police Department) on 11-29-9. Vehicle was subsequently awarded to us by the Tennessee Department of Safety on 4-8-10. Vehicle was placed into service as an undercover vehicle in our drug enforcement program last week. Vehicle is tagged and titled to the Church Hill Police Department. On 6-15-10, our Board of Mayor & Aldermen declared the vehicle to be surplus property and passed a resolution instructing me to auction the vehicle off within the next 30 - 45 days. Our policy mandates that all surplus vehicles be sold via public auction. NOTICE: This is a seized and used vehicle; there is no warranty. Vehicle starts and runs pretty well for an older vehicle. Vehicle has a new battery and new wiper blades which were put on last week. We do not inspect or test drive seized vehicles so we cannot attest to how good or bad our seized vehicles are. We have only driven this particular vehicle four times since it was put into service last week. Vehicle does seem to need a brake job. This vehicle can be viewed and inspected in person Mon. – Fri. 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Church Hill Police Department located at 300 E. Main Blvd., Church Hill, TN 37642. Members of the Church Hill Police Department, their spouses and children are ineligible to bid on vehicle. Inquiries may be directed to the Police Chief.
