Up for Sale is a 1980 MG /MGB convertible. This car has been in dry storage since 2001 and it's being sold as part of an Estate. I was told that this was the original owner but I was unable to confirm, although on the front ogf the title the issue date is 1/06/82 with 16K miles. The previous owner started working on restoring the vehicle but the project was never completed. The car is not in a running condition and the engine and transition had been removed to be rebuilt although I was told it actually ran fine. During the restoration the previous owner purchased a number of new parts such a new complete head with new pistons still in the box along others in preparation for the work. All the parts shown in the pictures will be included as part of these sale. The body on the vehicle appears to be 100% without any rust on the body or anywhere underneath the floor rocker panels, etc. I don’t know much about these cars but for a 1980 vehicle the car is truly in an amazing shape and even the color on this car has no cracks or major chips and it appears to be in excellent shape. The interior appears to be all complete and the upholstery such as seats and carpets also seem to be in good shape. The Soft-top also seems to be in good condition without any holes or rips and the fabric seems to be in good shape along with the rear window. The rear window contains no scratches or rips and also appears to be in great shape. Car has Michelin tires (Rainforce MX4 All Season 175/70 R14) in a like new condition (I would say they are new but not really sure nor can I confirm that but I have included pictures) the spare appears to be in a similar condition and the same brand. Suspension on the car also seems to be very solid and in good condition. I believe at some point in time two of the rotors may have also been replaced as the old ones are also included and shown in the pics along with new brakes also shown in the pics There is certainly a lot of potential with this car especially for anyone looking to customize an MG or even looking to restore to its original condition. During transport the key for this vehicle has been misplaced. (car rolls but unable to turn but the wheel but its in an easy location to load on a trailer or flatbed truck) It has a clear open title along with an Executor Certificate from the New Jersey, Somerset County Surrogates Court (because of the estate). The title can be assigned over to the new owner. Car is currently located in Bergen County, NJ 07446 and is being sold as is. The buyer is responsible for any transportation related fees. I will work with you if you are planning on picking up the car or if you plan on hiring a transport company to have the picked up for its current location. Upon completion of the auction a minimum deposit of $500.00 is due preferably via PayPal or other secure means. The balance is due with a week of the end date. As for pickup I can always work with you as there is no real rush to remove “within reason of course” Please bid only if you are interested and don’t waste my time and your time.
