Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Very rare special ordered through COPO 1968 Camaro with numbers matching and vin stamped L78 396 375hp motor along with the numbers matching M22 4 speed trans and numbers matching 12 bolt posi rear end. Original L78 396/375hp motor (TO523MQ) has been completely professionally rebuilt to better than factory. Engine and heads have been magna-fluxed, align honed, bored, crank ground, re-sized rods, new cast pistons, new rings, new rod bearings, new main bearings, new cam bearings, new freeze plugs, new timing set, new oil pump, new cam and lifters, new push rods, valves were ground and new unleaded exhaust seats were installed. Correct winters casting number matching intake ready for installation. Engine has never been run still under plastic just removed from the crate and mounted in the subframe.Correct numbers matching original holley 4bbl carb part number 3923289-DZ 4053 with 4519 and 5583 metering blocks. Correct numbers matching 1111170 distributor completely rebuilt. M22 trans 3925660 with new M22 gear set, OEM main shaft, new HD bearing retainer, new cage bearing, new locknut, New input bearing, new main bearing, new forks, new cluster pin, new needle bearings, new tube, new syncro hubs, new synchro sleeves, new thrust, new-HP brass syncro, new springs and keys, new gaskets, new rear bushing and seal, new reverse. Everything is new and never been run. Date and code correct numbers matching 12 bolt 3.73 posi rear end completely rebuilt with new gears, bearings, axles, seals, and brakes. Also have 5 correct XG rally wheels (disc brakes) that have been blasted and painted argent silver with no pits and NOS trim rings still in boxes (see last picture). The car was special ordered through COPO (central office production order) in 1968 in Pontiac Verdoro Green and was assembled in California (LOS code). Paint code is stamped on trim tag (Q-Q). This is rare as these were often simply left blank or had a – when a custom color was ordered. Body is 100% rust free and solid ready for final block sanding and paint work. Car was located in a salvage yard in California due to front end damage and was brought to Wisconsin where new GM NOS sheetmetal was acquired to replace any damaged metal. Hidden vin#s are present on the firewall and match the vin tag on the car. Have new NOS GM front fenders, inner fenders, upper and lower valance and inner support all with GM part numbers attached (see pictures). Original floors and rockers are like new with no rust at all. Needs no metal work it is nearly ready for paint. Sub frame has been restored with all new bushings. A-arms have been sandblasted and painted in Chassis Black along with the sub-frame. Original disc brakes, calipers, and spindles as well as power steering box have been gone through and mounted to the subframe. Has new rear leaf springs, poly body mounts, front end hardware kit, stainless brake lines, and e-brake cables. New fuel tank with sending unit. All original date coded glass is intact except for the windshield. All original trim is included as well as all dash parts and is in very good condition just needing polishing. Car is a roller and ready to be picked up or shipped. You will never find another car like this one with these options and in this condition this one is extremely rare.Car has Wisconsin title, was previously titled in California.
