This 1964 Pontiac GTO is truly one of the only 30,000 ever manufactured with the build sheets, matching numbers, and PHS documentation to prove it. It has a 389 four barrel engine with a M20 4-speed manual transmission, dual exhaust with chrome splitters, seat belts, remote driver’s mirror, deck emblems, deluxe wheel covers, optional bucket seats, console, factory tachometer, AM Reverb radio, and vintage A/C. This beautiful piece of history, the one that started the muscle car craze, only has 53,000 actual miles while still running and driving like it did when it rolled off of the factory lines in Detroit. It has had one repaint, but is still the original stunning Sunfire Red that will still get the same double-take as it did over 40 years ago. The new radial red line tires and Rally 1 wheels help to set this car apart. The original hub caps and wheels will be included with this sale. Because it has been well kept here in the South, the interior is all original and the body has no rust. This is a Grade-A collectible or an easy driver, but there will be no disappointments.
