Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1995 Jaguar XJS convertible, 2+2 (4 seats). 4.0L 6 cylinder engine with automatic transmission. British Racing Green exterior with tan leather interior and tan top. Power windows, top, locks mirrors, and seats. Cruise Control, automatic air conditioning, Cruise Control, AM/FM Cassette stereo with trunk mounted 6 disc CD changer. 16” Jaguar “star” alloy wheels. Factory keyless entry and alarm system. One owner since 1999- this car has sat unused, in the garage, for the last year and a half. Overall good condition, and seems to run and drive well (test drive limited to neighborhood cruise). Should have major service (fluids, belts, hoses, check brakes, tune-up, and overall major checkout by a mechanic) before being used regularly. This is a decent XJS convertible at a great price. Do the few things it needs and have fun this summer and beyond. Offered at no reserve- highest bid wins it. Body- good condition overall with no rust. Has dings from parking lots here and there and 2 minor dents (smaller than the palm of your hand) on the bottom of the RF fender. Paint is original- hood and trunk have faded and need to be repainted. Lower front spoiler (under front bumper) was removed some time ago. The hood latches need some tinkering. All chrome trim is in fine shape with no damage. Glass- All of the glass is good. Windshield shows its age with a couple chips, all repairable without replacement. Convertible Top- in very good shape with no rips or holes, and headliner is also in good shape with no holes. Top goes up and down properly using the console switch. Top of rear window frame occasionally rubs the top of the rear seat as the top folds down. Interior- all original and in overall good condition for its age (15+ years old). Dash is perfect with no cracks, door panels and rear interior panels are all very good, dash and console wood looks good with minimal (if any) cracking. Seats are all in nice shape- driver set shows 2 small rips on seat bottom and some wear on outer bolster (see pics). The console lid is in good shape and is not ripped, but has lost some of its color and needs to be touched up. The driver's carpet section is missing but the matching floor mat is there. Electrical- everything works- all gauges, lights, wipers, power windows (front and rear), power door locks, power mirrors, power seats, radio, etc.,,. AC is cold. Wheels/tires- Original Jaguar 16” “star” with Pirelli P4000 tires, all still with good tread remaining. Matching spare in trunk, along with factory jack in original tool bag. Engine/transmission- both seem to be fine, but truly do need major service after sitting so long, as described above. Also, the engine seems to drip oil from the oil filter/oil cooler hose area on the block, and should be checked out (likely needs no oil cooler line O-rings- a typical problem on this model). The car was not extensively driven before listing- only short runs in town. Brakes- seem to work properly- no funny noises or pulling to either side, and no warning lights on the dash. Have all original books/owners manual, main key (black), valet key (green), and one keyless remote. Important Note for California Buyers Only - the owner neglected to put the car on “non-operation” status before storing it, and as a result there are back registration fees due of $441 to bring the car up to date (only for buyers who plan to register the car in California). Keep this in mind when bidding, as these fees will be your responsibility when registering the car. Emissions Testing, if required for your state: Any required emissions inspection charges (or required repairs) are the responsibility of the new owner. But that is up to the new owner. The car is sold “As-Is, Where-IS” with no guarantee or warranty of any kind. It has a clear California title. This is a fun little car, but please keep in mind it is a 15 year old Jaguar and will need plenty of tender loving care. I have tried to describe the car as honestly as possible, and list all the flaws/issues I could find. Please ask any and all questions before bidding.
