Vehicle Detail

1965 Mustang Fastback 2+2 with 289 V8 and automatic transmission (no power brakes or steering). I bought this car in 1990 and in 2000 the car was fully restored. This beautifully restored car has an arrow straight body with perfect alignment. The body is solid, all metal, no fillers and the car is garage kept. All hood, doors, and trunk lid open and close with ease. The car has been stripped down to the metal and painted with Sikkens "Jet Black", paint job looks great (it is NOT all dinged up) and has a beautiful slick finish to it, really shows off the lines of the car. It has all new black pony interior - the car is beautiful ! The stock 289 engine and automatic transmission have been rebuilt. Car is SOLID and very dependable and I'm sure you will be very happy with it. I know that I sure have enjoyed it for the last 20 years. Here are some of the improvements on the car: New pony interior, carpet, seats, headliner, dash board All new body seals New floor pans, front L & R New quarter panels and wheel wells New front windshield but the side and rear glass are original with a few minor scratches (seals replaced) New trunk New gas tank Rebuilt 289 V8 engine approximately 32K Rebuilt transmission approximately 25K Rebuilt rear end recent Rebuilt carburetor approximately 50K Duel Flow Master Muffler New Speaker in dash board and antenna. I do have a Ford radio/ cassette, not installed. Payment: Winning bidder to contact seller within 24 hours at the end of the auction to confirm your purchase, or the vehicle may be re-listed or sold to any other qualified buyer. $500 deposit required via PayPal within 48 hours of auction close. Remainder of payment to be completed within 7 days of auction close. All payments must clear prior to release of vehicle. All taxes will be the responsibility of the buyer. Car is sold AS IS Question: Thanks for your response. Have you ever checked the cowl for leaks? if you pour water into the cowl on driver and pass sides does it drain out behind the front wheel wells? Has there been any performance work dont to the motor? thanks Tom Answer: Hi Tom, I poured about a gallon of water into the cowl and the car does drain out behind both of the front wheel wells however, on the passenger side far right corner some (not a lot) water did come into the car. I do know that this is a common problem with the mustangs. Now the engine is stock, except for updating it to a electronic ignition (still have the points). Hope this helps.
