Vehicle Detail

Needs restoration inside and out. No A/C; Heater disconnected; Added large exterior mirrors and electronic fuel pump; Rear end damaged while parked by hit/run vehicle; Right rear window missing -Speedometer and odometer work; Rest of dashboard pretty much trashed by exuberant unskilled teenagers trying to install stereo; presently owned by 84 year-old driver who has owned and driven it for about 12 years; one mechanic during that time; prior to that owned and operated by ex-wife and son since 1975. Compression is good; Runs Ok for a 40 year-old vehicle. Offerred for restoration, but could be used, as is, by someone needing local transportation and who drives like a senior citizen. Pic No. 6: Hole to left of accelerator is Mfr. hole. Plug is missing. Black area closer to seat is shiny black metal, apparently where my heel rubs much of the time. The piece of wood on the dashboard I put in to stabilize the speedometer unit which was loose after teens gave up trying to get behind dashboard. Radio is missing. It has not bothered me to drive it this way, but anyone who buys the car would probably want to find a replacement for the entire dashboard, and put in a radio and heater. Pic No. 8: You see some rust on the housing that protects the silver colored pipe running down into the floor of the trunk. Spare tire and wheel have been taken out for the purpose of taking the picture. Pic No. 9: That rust you see to the left of the curved housing for the jack (removed for taking the picture) was the serious rust I found. I probed with a screw driver and opened three holes. Looking closely, you can see two of them. The moisture in the trunk is probably because of rotten rubber gasket around the trunk lid, but also because the trunk lid is sprung from rear end damage. Pic No. 10: The rear seat-back folds down over the seat to make a flat cargo area.
