1997 Chevrolet  G 1500 Van Conversion by Explorer: 5.7 liter V8 350ci engine, 4 captain chairs, rear bench seat that can fold into a bed, front and rear AC, anti lock brakes, driver and passenger air bags, 8 speakers, cruise control, power windows, power locks, automatic 4 speed transmission, white and blue exterior color, blue interior color, luggage rack, power antenna, clothes bar for hanging clothes in back, 30 gallon gas tank.  Mileage: 429,200. An insurance company that shuttled employees and files from southern IL to Indianapolis IN daily originally owned this van.  I have their service records.  It was auctioned to an employee and I later purchased it from the winning bidder in July of 2005 with 376,000 miles.  Van has clear title.  It was used mainly for vacation trips, most recently to Florida to watch STS-132 Space Shuttle Launch on May 14, 2010.  It has almost all highway miles, and it gets 18 MPG highway.  I've tried to describe this van as well as I could.  It is 13 years old and has normal wear and associated with a vehicle of this age.  If you have questions ask, and I will try to respond promptly. The Good: Fumoto Valve added for easy oil changes (changed every 3,000 miles), Gabriel ultra front shocks and Gabriel rear load handling spring assist shocks @ 376, 000 miles July 2005, class IV hitch, wiring for 4 pin connection (but not installed), GM Service manuals, Sony XR-CA650X radio cassette player with remote, Sony CDX-757MX 10 disc CD changer (controlled by tape player), Brake Planet cross drilled and slotted front brake rotors with Axxis ceramic brake pads and new front wheel bearings @ 403,000 miles in May of 2008, new calipers in October of 2009, new front tires in October 2009 have 8,000 miles, back tires have 53,000 miles but still look good, differential fluid change at 380,000 miles, new expansion valve and fan motor for rear AC unit. The Bad: air conditioning does not work (needs AC compressor and accumulator), drivers power window does not work (needs motor assembly), power antenna does not work (an after-market universal replacement is provided however), needs Electronic Control Module (replaced 3 years ago, and starting to show the same symptoms again such as difficult starting after several days of sitting), service engine light comes on because the catalytic converter on the left bank of the engine shows poor performance, rear door power lock does not work.
