THIS VEHICLE LISTED WITH NO RESERVE! Thanks for looking up this Vanagon. Here is the story: I've purchased this VW in summer of 2007 from my mechanic in Long Island, NY. I have a custom Beetle but needed a daily driver, so it worked out. My mechanic was a second owner and I'm the third. He bought it originally from a guy who had it since new but overheated the engine. (I have original dealer sticker and manuals). After it overheated, he kept it for many years until he sold it in 2006. My mechanic rebuilt the engine, installed new exhaust, water pump, tune-up, etc. and got this van in shape. When I bought it, it had about 82,000 miles on it. Being in very good shape overall and with rebuilt engine it served me well. I drove it anywhere and put about 14,000 miles on it until it broke down. I towed it back to my mechanic and the outcome is that it doesn't start. I can't spend money now to investigate. I'm selling it because I just don't have a few hundred bucks to get it repaired. Having two cars is getting expensive and I am making my beetle a daily driver. This van is in very good shape although it needs cosmetic work and after all it is 25 years old. For whoever knows these buses and can prolong his life, it won't disappoint. It has one spot rusted through right by the driver's door in wheel well (see photo), in the rear hatch by window there is a 3/8" hole and one location at the window the rust is seen from under the window rubber. I took several photos and to the best of my knowledge these are the only problems. It does have some dings and dents though. it is not a camper but a regular van with two rows of seats. A/C does not work. I have all documentation from the original owner and from my mechanic doing repairs. I welcome any questions you may have.
