UP FOR SALE: EXTREMELY RELIABLE 1997 GMC Safari. 4.3L V6 Vortec engine ONLY 75,000 original miles! I will list EVERY known problem with this vehicle as follows: High headlamp beams only (needs low beams fixed) Gas gauge reads funny (only reads ½ tank when full) Glove box missing Fuel pump noise/buzz (completely functional + reliable) Dent on front L fender and rear L door Rear R latch needs repair Two ¼ inch holes on roof (covered with duct tape - no leak) Missing gas flap A/C needs recharge One missing hubcap Various minor scratches, interior wear etc (normal for 1997) This is a real work truck - Previously owned by NY dep of finance. I drive it every day and it has NEVER failed me. I recently put $1600 into it: Motorvac top-engine flush, Tranny flush, Full tune-up, 75% tires, rear-diff service, fuel filter etc. This van needs nothing (unless you’re a finicky perfectionist).
