POLICE AUCTION: White, 1997 Ford Mustang, 182,850 miles, V6, 5-speed manual transmission, VIN: 1FALP4044VF179270. This vehicle was seized by our department (Church Hill, TN Police Department) on October 10, 2009 because the driver was driving on a revoked license. It has been sitting in our impound lot ever since. Vehicle was subsequently awarded to us by the Tennessee Department of Safety on 3-16-10. Vehicle is currently titled to our department. Our policy mandates that all seized vehicles be sold at public auction. NOTICE: This is a seized and used vehicle; there is no warranty. Vehicle starts and will run from point A to point B. Has mismatched wheels (front-back). Cassette tape door is missing. Rear spoiler/fin is missing. Vehicle has several scratches all over. (Per our city mechanic) the vehicle has a water/anti-freeze leak in or around the radiator. I would not recommend driving vehicle very far until leak is repaired. We do not inspect or test drive seized vehicles so we cannot attest to how good or bad our seized vehicles are. NOTE/RESTRICTED AUCTION: In the past, we've had bidders who won a vehicle but never paid for it. So, we have been forced to limit bidders on this item to bidders with a feedback score of 5 or higher. Unless you meet this requirement, do not bid on the item. If you do, your bid will be cancelled. The only exception to this rule is the following: Prior to bidding, you may come to the Church Hill Police Department (300 E. Main Blvd., Church Hill, TN 37642) and meet with me. After I have made a solid identification on you and you provide me with your user name, I will allow you to bid without a 5 or higher feedback score. This vehicle can be viewed and inspected in person Mon. – Fri. 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Church Hill Public Works building located at 251 Silver Lake Road, Church Hill, TN 37642. Members of the Church Hill Police Department, their spouse, and their children are ineligible to bid on vehicle. Inquiries may be directed to the Police Chief. ANY PERSON WHO BIDS AND WINS VEHICLE BUT FAILS TO PAY FOR VEHICLE WILL BE CHARGED CRIMINALLY (FRAUD) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW. Good luck to all bidders.
