Vehicle Detail

POLICE AUCTION: Red 2000 Ford Mustang GT, 105,416 miles, 5-speed manual transmission, VIN: 1FAFP42X2YF305151. This vehicle was seized by our department (Church Hill Police Department) on June 11, 2008 because the driver used to vehicle to transport illegal drugs. Vehicle was subsequently awarded to us by the Tennessee Department of Safety on 12-19-08. It has been sitting in our impound lot ever since. Vehicle is currently titled to our department. Our policy mandates that all seized vehicles be sold at public auction. NOTICE: This is a seized and used vehicle; there is no warranty. At the time of seizure, this vehicle was running extremely well. However, since then, the vehicle has only been started 2-3 times and now must have battery boosted off in order to start and drive. We did boost battery and drive vehicle around impound parking lot today (May 18, 2010). This vehicle is fairly rough in places, especially the front bumper area (held on by bolts and screws). Vehicle also has newspaper holding the headlights in place. We do not inspect or test drive seized vehicles so we cannot attest to how good or bad our seized vehicles are so don't ask. Besides, we are police officers, not mechanics. As stated, odometer is showing 105,416 miles but the title is showing 136,844 miles; we do not know why. This vehicle can be viewed and inspected in person Mon. – Fri. 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Church Hill Public Works building located at 251 Silver Lake Road, Church Hill, TN 37642. Members of the Church Hill Police Department and their families are ineligible to bid on vehicle. Inquiries may be directed to the Police Chief. ANY PERSON WHO BIDS AND WINS VEHICLE BUT FAILS TO PAY FOR VEHICLE WILL BE CHARGED CRIMINALLY (FRAUD) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW. Good luck to all bidders.
