The story of this classic bike started for me back in 2002 when I purchased it from a dealer down south.The guy had a biz fixing classic BMW's but most of his stock was Pre 60's and out of my price range. He did have a riding friend that passed away and was selling his bike for the family. Since I trusted the dealer I purchased the bike and had it shipped to Phila. I rode it for several years and one day on my ride home from work the clutch gave out. I got the bike home but was stuck in 1st gear. The est. on a new clutch installed was 1200.00 which was too much for me to do. I had always hoped to do the job myself but never had the time or tools needed to do a complicated repair to this beautiful bike.....time passed and the bike sat in my basement till today. In any case here are some details about the condition : Has not been started in several years and is being sold "as is" condition. I stated needs a clutch-a real good BMW guy I meet recognized that the bike was put together from two bikes so must have been rebuilt at some point with an updated clutch. The bike has an electric start and a rideoff type center stand.. I have 100% positive feedback with ebay so I want to be clear that this is a project bike and aside from the electrical bridal which was soldered and needs to be replaced you will need a new battery and clutch at the very least. The od seems to have 37830 but that would be really low and must have rolled passed 0 (more likely). NO RESERVE
