Vehicle Detail
This is my 1974 Dodge Monaco 4 door Sedan "Bluesmobile". This is like cutting my right arm off but do to pending sale of our home and needing the extra dough, I am ready to close this crazy chapter in my life. I have enjoyed every second of owning this car 110%. Well, besides having red and blue lights in the rear view. When I found this car, it was complete junk. I drove up to Omaha, NE. to buy the car, in the snow and drove it back home to southern Indiana with absolutely no problems. This car has a 360 motor and 727 trans. The motor runs and sounds fantastic!! NO PROBLEMS!! No smoke or noises. Trans shifts great and the car cruises down the interstate very nicely! Brand new dual exhaust, front brake calipers, pads, radiator, heater hoses and much more. Working spotlight. Seats are professionally upholstered "cop car" style. Rubber floor mat. New upper A arm bushings up front. One working wiper arm... drivers side, like the movie car. Windshield is cracked. The body was just as rusty as it could be. There is a lot of bondo on this car. Lower fenders, doors, quarters and more. Paint is dirty gloss black with flat black covering the body markings. White painted top. Door jambs are painted as well. Everything works on and in the car <>. Including lighter. I have tried to make this car looks as authentic as I can without going overboard. I am sure there are critics out there who can pass judgement but I feel confident in its overall appearance as a "Bluesmobile"'. Original owners manual and Chrysler paperwork. I have an entire envelope full of service history on the car from the original owner until me. New tires too. Functional push bar. I can't say enough how much fun this car is. It's not about the money. I have exactly this much in the car (on paper) in receipts. What you pay for it is up to you. NO RESERVE. I have videos of the car on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlQgV6w19Ao. Remember, this car is a banged up, dirty piece of American history. It is rusty but frame and floor pans are in solid, structural condition. Serious buyers only please. This is not a restoration of any kind. More like a fantastic running, driving party on wheels. I hope someone who shares a passion for the music and the movie buys this car. I will include my Elwood Blues drivers license and Illinois plates. Clear title in my name and ready to transfer. If you are an international buyer, you must have a shipping company lined up prior to bidding PERIOD. Happy bidding and best of luck to all.On May-17-10 at 11:40:20 PDT, seller added the following information: Also, if your would like to see BIG pictures of the car go to this link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/44617412@N07/show/with/4511568305/. Thanks to all who have shown an interest in the car. I really hate to see it leave. You will acquire instant fame in your town when you roll up in this car. GUARANTEED !!On May-17-10 at 15:41:20 PDT, seller added the following information: Keep in mind if you win this car, that anyone can buy a 1964 Impala or a 1936 Ford coupe and take it to the local cruise in on Friday night. However, nobody will have the Bluesmobile. On May-19-10 at 13:56:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Attention shoppers, now included with the sale of the Bluesmobile is an old tower PA speaker from Ellis Park here in Evansville. And it works. But I can't load pics of it on the auction. So, here is a link to the speaker: http://www.flickr.com/photos/44617412@N07/4622676654/
