I bought this car 2005 in Florida. The car was not smoked in before I bought it, or since then. For the age this car is in excellent condition, Just some normal small paint chips, and wear. No Rust, and meets, or exceeds the Kelly Blue Book description of Good Condition. Composition Plastic Intake manifold has been replaced with the redesigned metal one. CAUTION: Don't buy any Ford product with a 4.6 engine that has not had the composition plastic manifold replaced. Built 1996 through 2001 on Town Cars. With age they develop fatigue cracks due to the alternator mounted in the composition plastic. The new design (which is on this car) has the alternator mounted in aluminum. The cost of this replacement is about $800 at Ford, or thousands if the engine is destroyed by the defective intake.
