Vehicle Detail

This is a second owner 1967 442, local MS car, with matching No.# motor completely rebuilt. The heads are not the correct but everything else is. This car has factory air but is not hooked up but comes with everything. (see pics) This car is one of 1807 built & you will not be disappointed. This car has been completely done from front to back, top to bottom. Starting with a complete tear down the car had the original paint still in decent shape. The bumpers were sent out to be rechromed, along with the pot metal taillight housing, trunk moldings. The headlight trim instead of opting to polish, sent out & had chrome plated for a better than new look. The vinyl top was removed for closer inspection striped & then painted before replacing with a new top. MOTOR/TRANS: The engine was also removed (see pics) completely torn down, bored & all the necessary steps taken to rebuild the motor back to new condition. All the original engine components were replaced or rebuilt for a dependable driver. All new hoses, belts, wires, alt., carb replaced or rebuilt. The engine is the correct 400 that came in this car. The transmission has been recently converted to a 200 4R overdrive for a little better fuel economy, due to these cars not know to have great gas mileage back in the day. if your familier with the 700r for chevy,200 4r its the counterpartner for buick old great dependable transmission. SUSPENSION: The front suspension was all replaced with a new PST rebuild. Ball joints all replaced. New updated front disc were added, new brake booster, mastercylinder, line & hoses were also replaced. WHEELS/TIRES: All brand new factory style chrome mags replaced (even the spare). New 15” B.F. Goodrich with letter tires (including the spare) that has never been on the ground. fronts 235 60 15 rear 255 60 15 wheel vintiques on the wheels INTERIOR: The interior is all new (everything) if you need to see more please ask and I can add more pics. All new seat foam, trim, buttons, everything--. Nothing overlooked for a brand new car. The steering wheel was replaced with a new era correct wood grain wheel. GLASS: The car has all of its original dated glass except the front windshield was removed & replaced with a new one. All the window tracks were greased for a smooth ease of like new condition. RUBBERS: All the rubbers, felts, bumpers, divers, vent rubbers, everything was replaced. PAINT: The car was only sanded body work done, epoxied & brought back to life with all Sikkens products from ground up. All door jams, trunk jams & all were painted like a factory job. All bolts were installed painted like factory job. NO tape lines in jams anywhere. Car was refinished in base coat, clear coat, & block sanded & buffed to a mirror shine. Car will come with an extra quart of the paint used to paint. Just in case something happens later. Label & missing ingredients will also come with the car. EXHAUST: The car has the OEM style exhaust all aluminized chambered factory pipes out the back with the original rings on pipes. CONDITIONS: The only thing that was not put back on this 442 that looked original was the factory painted on stripe (see pics) we just didn’t really like so I never put them back on. A complete set of restoration pics will come with the car in all stages of the build. Two yellow envelopes full of receipts will also come with the car to show you the endless amount of money spent on this car. It now has almost 7000 miles & 3 ½ to 4 years since restoration but has spent most of its time indoors. The car was built to be driven & has been, it’s not perfect but a really nice car. These pics were taken on Saturday May 8, 2010, not a year ago like a lot of cars I see on here. So this is actually what you get. there are a few very small flaws on the car . If you want an inspection it needs to be done while auction is still active, not at the end. If you have less than a 10 feedback you will be removed from bidding as bidding comes to an end. Please have your money available at end of auction, not 2 weeks or you need to go borrow. Please ask your wife, girlfriend, mother, whoever before bidding. This is a binding contract & it cost money to rerun if you fail to pay. I will help in the communication with shipper to get this car loaded. You are responsible for the cost of shipping. I can store up to 3 weeks at n/c as long as the car is paid for. AS IS, where is, No Warranty. As I have helped in the restoration of this vehicle, still it is an old car & even new parts break. No money or expense was cheated on this car. Just a few changes in life forced the sell of this car. It comes with a clear Mississippi title & is registered in the State of Mississippi. Please if you have any questions contact me, Mike Crawford, 601-941-1320. Thanks for looking! more pics will be added in the next couple days like the bottom and some close ups check for additional pics of the car too click the link below there are a lot of extra pics on link below showing under carrage and close up since ebay doesnt allow but 24 pics http://s193.photobucket.com/albums/z97/mcraw39/1928a%20sedan%20hot%20rod/1967%20442/?action=view¤t=1967442032.jpg i highly recommend if your looking for a shipper and you have never transported a car see www.uship.com i have had great results with them with no complaints .
