Vehicle Detail
Triumph 650 Chopper. Built by Burbank Triumph in 1970. Denver's front end with new tapered bearing kit. Flat track style tank with amal dual carbs. Bike runs great and is ready to ride anywhere. Numerous extra parts including oil bag and highway pegs as well as a new front tire. Early Corbin seat. Just serviced by Hell On Wheels Motorcycle Shop. Bike has great history in the 70's SoCal chopper scene. Black California plate. Bike starts on the first kick and has been very reliable. Leaks a little oil just like an old triumph should. They called these Burbank triumph choppers "Sunset Trippers". Back story on the bike: Original owner bought it from Burbank Triumph in 1970. In those days Burbank Triumph was turning stock bikes into choppers, and this is one of them. Mechanics at Burbank Triumph bobbed the fender, repainted the tins, changed the bars and installed a Denver’s springer. That’s right--this thing came stock from the dealer with a real Denver’s front end. A couple months after trading in his Honda chopper for this Triumph chop, original owner shipped out to Vietnam. His best friend stored the bike, and every time he returned from fighting Charlie the two guys would ride all over Southern California. The guy shipped off to Vietnam for a third tour of duty, but in ’72, he was listed MIA. After getting the bad news, the original owner’s mother sold the bike to the guy I bought it from, where it has been stored for the last 37 years. This Bike RULES. Bike has been featured in numerous websites and magazines. Buyer to arrange all shipping details. **No Reserve. Please contact me if you would like pictures of anything specific.
